For Cancers, men or women. If you are not a Cancer sun, but have cancer placements, please specify what placement it is.

What is a personality trait that you have that makes you feel good about yourself? It can be a charactieristic that you exhibit in general life or in relationships.

Like do you pride yourself when people notice how cautious, loyal, thoughtful, etc you are and why?

How do you try to show off this trait of yours?

Some qualities I'm proud of in myself...

I'm honest with myself and with everyone. Everybody lies, and I'm no different, but I have a talent for seeing to the heart of matters and finding what's truly important. I find that keystone that holds the illusion together, and then smash it with the cold hard truth. It's what makes me so mature, as everyone who knows me tells me I am (I'm 21, most people think I'm late 20's by how I act). It's also a problem, as people generally don't like being critiqued on such a deep and irrefutable level, and I don't typically pull punches with the people closest to me.
*I think this quality mostly comes from my Scorpio moon

I'm proud of my intuition. I can walk into a room, join a conversation, and immediately understand the general mood of what's happening. It helps in every social encounter that I never start cracking raunchy jokes in the middle of a serious discussion, or kill the mood at a fun gathering with biting sarcasm or depression. That's definitely from my Cancer sun.

I'm also proud of my strong and enduring sense of personal responsibility, another quality that shows my maturity, born from my Virgo mars. I'm always the one to keep on task and get done what needs getting done. People respect me for it, though I sometimes take it too far and become overly critical of my own faults as well as the faults in others.

My Jupiter in Leo is what makes me so proud of these qualities; I believe in being completely honest and aboveboard about everything, to never lie to myself or anyone else about something truly critical to life. It runs the risk of becoming arrogant and self-aggrandizing, but my lack of self-confidence in most facets of life keeps that to a minimum.

Something I think all Cancers can be proud of; we tend to exemplify the "Knight in Shining Armor" on instinct. We are very sensitive to emotions, and that most definitely includes pain and suffering, so when we see someone hurting we instantly want to protect and heal them. For those of us with grit, that means stepping up and saving them from their aggressors, being their shield and protector. I'm DAMN proud of that quality!

Why, you do have a way with words, Zenbear.

And that's coming from a Gem Merc.

Yes, he certainly can talk the talk!
But, ZenBear, can you really walk the walk?

ZenBear, this is my favourite paragraph:
My Jupiter in Leo is what makes me so proud of these qualities; I believe in being completely honest and aboveboard about everything, to never lie to myself or anyone else about something truly critical to life. It runs the risk of becoming arrogant and self-aggrandizing, but my lack of self-confidence in most facets of life keeps that to a minimum.

Oh, really?....all that you've written in this thread and how you expressed it certainly doesn't suggest a lack of confidence in most facets of life!
Me thinks you have a few more years of life to experience before you can exemplify all that you so eloquently express.

Well thanks for the complements on my writing skills. I used to want to be an author, so I've got experience.

However,

I rationally know I exemplify all the qualities I expressed in my post, and saying so rationally isn't difficult. Trying to believe I'm actually worth anything despite those qualities is where my lack of confidence rears its ugly head. Read some of my other threads, you'll see what I mean. How I feel and what I know are two completely separate things.
