I am with this Cap for 3 years now. Destiny is the only explanation for this relatinship. Tonight I met his ex-wife for the first time at a party he threw for the birthday of his 10 years old daughter. I had a lot of fun. His ex is a sweet petite blonde, 2 years younger than me, still single. Have no clue how she felt but she behaved nicely.

I cannot get rid of a feeling they may still have a chance together. Strange, no jealousy or hard feelings, I just thought they might have matured over time and their family could be rebuilt. I may be wrong of course, and it could be the case that I manage him better than her. I have mooon in Cap and a strong Cap influence in my character. Just sharing. Comments are welcome.

Can I ask what signals or clues you picked up on that make you think they still have a chance?

I know some divorced people who are still really good friends. They just didn't get along living with each other. They cared about each other, but the marriage became a friendship/roommate sort of thing and they didn't love each other and both wanted to find happiness and are supportive of each other. a no hard feelings divorce on good terms - rare, but it happens.

I know one divorced couple who are both remarried and they hang out and socialize as two married couples who are best friends do.

You may just be a better match for him than she was.

Curious as to why you are feeling the way you do.

@Asha...

Would you have felt better if he told you he hated her guts, and did not invite her to their daughter's birthday party?

Or was it the mere presence of the ex-wife that you gave you a pang jealousy that this woman (despite their divorce) will always be a permanent fixture in his life?

This Cappie would have to own a big set of cojones to invite his girlfriend to his ex-wife's house if there were still romantic feelings there.

Sorry for coming back so late.

Truecap, you are right of course. My Cap and his ex are not exactly in friednly terms but trying to maintain decent communcation for the sake of their daughter. We spoke with him and he assured me it was beyond over between them. It was the first time I met her and sort of could not understand why the two did not make it given they spent 12 years togehter and had a child. Well, for whatever reason they did not make it and it seems final now.

TaurusBull, no jealosy was involved; I was more wondering if they had evolved and matured after the divorse and if it wasn`t just me standing on their possible way back together. It was just a passing feeling; it does not seem to be the case at all.
