I don't really know of too many.

anyway, this probably has nothing much to do with the title of the thread, but I'm going to see Kanye West and Jay-z this Saturday and I'm afraid because I want to look as nice as possible, yet I don't really know how. I went shopping the other day for an outfit and I couldn't really pick out one. On top of that I don't know how to put on make-up, which is horrible for my age. It's like I instantly look like a clown when I put on make-up. My hair...no comment.

I have a desire to look high maintenance when I do manage to step out, but I don't have the proper budget or technique to put it all together. Am I the only Cappie with this issue? btw, I was on point when I was younger. I fell completely off lol, but I think it has to do with moving 1000+ miles away from my hometown and into a big city, idk.

You dont need high budget or be high maintenance to look chic and stylish. Perhaps browse some fashion magazines and capture the looks. To complete the high fashion look with low budget, spend a little on make up, you can go to a Chanel or Bobbi Brown or MAC counter to have them do your make up. Same for hair too, just do a blow and wash, you'll be good to go.

Haha, thanks! My Cappie friend, back in high school, use to tell me that she spends on the shoes and the bag, but spends little to nothing on the clothes. My taste is sooo darn expensive, especially when it comes to handbags, so I couldn't do that. Your suggestion on spending on good make-up is right up my alley. The better the brand, the less of it I'll probably have to wear too...never thought of that.

I go through magazines, but I usually want what I see out of them lol, plus I can't put together an outfit for nothing, at-least not for myself. I style my sister just fine, go figure. Thanks for the suggestions, I need as much help as I can get.

Yeah, I like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I went to Nordstroms and bought a shirt, which wasn't too expensive, but still a little over what I wanted to pay(I'm so darn cheap), so I'm going to make the rest of what I wear work somehow by wearing pieces I already have. Gosh, can't believe I spilled that lol.

As far as make-up, I agree that less is best. I don't really wear foundation, which I should since my skin isn't the best, but if I do I mix it with lotion and rub it all over my face and that's my version of applying the foundation lol.

I'm going to try and bring it all together though. I tend to stress before I go places because I always have the vision of how I want to look. I'm starting tomorrow on my hair because it's a mess.
