Aries & Capricorn..HELP!

I know Aries and Capricorn aren't really supposed to go together, but something about him just feels right. He says the stuff that I'm thinking. When I talk to him, he calms me down, not to the point that my fire is completely burnt out, but just enough lol. He's had a crush on me for about two years now, and we just started talking last month. I asked him why he didn't say anything earlier, and he said that he didn't think I'd go for it and he isn't the type to go out of his way for a girl. I hate chasing guys, but I always cave when it comes to him. I've been the one starting our conversations until recently when I decided that I was gonna wait for him to do so. Well its been a few days and he hasn't tried at all. What should I do? I know I'm supposed to be patient, but I don't wanna be too patient and let him go. I don't wanna keep starting everything either cause that makes me feel like he doesn't care enough to start a conversation with me himself.

Wow, Amber911. I feel for you. I have been interested in a Capricorn at least on friend level and felt a spark. I definitely nurture sparks and let fate go with it. Though, I must say I don't want you to feel snuffed out, or left aside, or second-guessing yourself because of his Capricorn side.

Feeling like you have to carry over feelings to another time when things are more responsive or nurturing cannot keep you going strong, though I admire your strength of character to keep with it. I know there are Capricorn/Aries couples in this world, and with good respectful nurturing understanding between the two, I can see things going along over time, and nobody wants to discourage you. I definitely agree, you might just want to review the Capricorn boards to see what understanding you can find.

We Aries have been going through rough years but surely there is a way things will work through and wish you the best.

Forgive me for being used to the ways of Leos and having this be a whole new deal for me. Sorry for coming on and asking for some fucking advice about a situation in which i have no earthly idea how to handle. What I'm used to is totally different from what I'm dealing with now. I'm with an aries guy and i'm cap..he chased me and imo, you'll have to chase,lol. I have aries rising, but my cap/aqua placement tones it down.

I didn't even think about looking at her response the way you did. I automatically got defensive cause it seemed like she was coming at me for no apparent reason. If someone needed help, I wouldn't have said what she said the way she said it, but she and I are two different people so I definitely need to respect that. Both of you are so right about going and doing my own thing though. The whole situation just kind of threw me off cause he says that he's interested and then just disappears. It's not like I'm waiting around, this is just different for me. I've never dealt with an earth sign before, only water and fire. Thank you so much darling.

there's your sign. it sounds like he just really can't be bothered with making an effort. you could just be honest with him and tell him it would be nice to hear from him first once in a while, or you could continue to initiate until you grow bored and move on. aries and capricorns can work; it just takes a lot of patience and communication - from BOTH sides. i'm currently in a relationship with an aries but we were friends for several months before we decided to be in one. maybe he's too young. amethyst has a lot of experience with cap males - she has great advice on how to handle their crap. i love cap men and have been attracted to them but i am not sure i would ever tolerate the typical cap male behavior i seem to read on here all the time. just don't let him snuff out your fire - caps are good at that unless they have a lot of fire/air in their chart. xoj

We'll see what happens. I'm not pressed or anything. I definitely need to work on my patience though.

Let me introduce myself ... I am Lost and I am here to share with you some directions :p

So I am an Aries and I've been dealing with a Cap for the past 2 years. I'd tell you from here, if you don't have the patience and is not willing to wait for him, then forget about the whole thing.

If you are also looking for a fling then forget about it as well, they only play for keep, and want someone who is the same.

There will be a zillion times when you feel like exploding and vomiting your feelings in his face, don't be mad and do it, he will run and never come back.

They expect you to do the chasing so long as you distinguish between that and suffocating someone with your attention. You just show them that you care and let him do the rest.

Be ready to go through endless tests of all sort. You'd need to keep your cool and think before you do anything crazy.

Read between the lines ... well this one is tough and will tend to confuse you even more ... so good luck

@amber ignore kstarks i dont think she took her meds today. Looking at the world through her eyes must be ridiculously exhausting.

As for Cap guy not responding. To tell you the truth i dont have the energy for all of that.....plus I never experienced that with a Cap guy.....and I have dated a few and they were all very forward and pretty much chased me.

The thing with them is if you act too interested after the chase.......they feel like they have won you so they can do what they want with the no call backs and the ignoring.

Aries are very into you right off and know what they want from the beginning and I love that about you guys but it can be overwhelming for a Cap who takes their time to commit.

So its either you be patient and conform to him (which might end up in resentment) or you just cut your losses and keep it moving.

But in IMO a man know what he wants and goes for it anytime so that not chasing is BS IMO because the 6 Cap men I know and dated 3, they all declared their intentions from the beginning and "chased" so its BS when they say they dont chase...all men do, in just different ways.

...since i know plenty of Cap guys well (family, friends) i'd like to say a few things.

Read again your and kstarks interactions. If she would be a Cap guy, your actions would be a complete turn off in a similar situation. You started a thread, asking something. She gave a reply (maybe you would expect something more gentle, but she gave a valuable answer), and you suddenly/immediately/readily went to argue with her. Your fire made you react, but without thinking it through first.
What i say is, if you start a conversation with your Cap, and he may says something what you don't like, don't react the same way to him. Because you will only scare him away. At least it would scare me, because i am just sharing my (probabaly different) opinion, and what i get is not a conversation but an arguement. Fire is good in the bedroom, but sometimes it's nice to play it cool.

It would be beneficial to know your Cap's Moon and Venus sign, please post it, because it would tell you which approach is the best when you are with him. 🙂

And lastly, i think this relationship can work, if there is good (=simple, no drama, open) sommunication between the two of you.
The main difference is in temperament that you want things immediately and fast. But fast things are not always the most valuable for a Capricorn. Me personally, don't like to give in fast, i never give in fast, not because i don't want to, but because i can't force feelings, and i am VERY slow with feelings.
My philosohpy is to why i should give myself away to somebody who i don't know WELL. Meaning, i need to spend plently of time together to develope feelings. I am not the "love at first sight" type of woman. If a man is with me for at least a year is an indication that i may trust him in the long term. If i can't imagine myself in the long run with the other, then i don't even try to talk to him.

*very big grin* This will be a challenge, Amber. If you read through the Cappy forum you will see in 90% of the cases the "problematic guy" is a Cappy with Venus in Aqua. But opposite of the popular belief i think it's not a difficult combination, you just have to find a way. 😉 (And i am a Cappy woman with Venus in Aqua btw.)

Sun: Aries is fast, Cappy is slow. It can be worked on with good communication and respect. Many times when i worry to take action, i personally admire my Aries pals.

Venus: in Taurus you are very earthy and sensual in your approach, but he will be different. In astrology it says that you like stability over variety, but since you are an Aries it doens't mean that you will get boring. Venus in Aqua is very detached. The best way to go i think is to make a friendly atmoshpehere. Venus in Aqua is very big on freedom and acceptance. If he feels that you push him or want to pin him down, he will run. BUT at the same time, Venus in Aqua is very idealistic-romantic. Never forget that. For me it's very sexy if my man is intelligent and has an intellectual approach, but not a bookworm approach!

Mars: is in opposite signs, it can be extremely good or extremely stressful. Depends on how you use it, but it matches well.

And finally, i am not sure if i remember well, but Kstarks (no matter what you think of her) is a woman with Capricorn Sun, Pisces Moon and Venus in Aqua. (?) What she said, in her first post, to have a hobby and try to talk about it with him, so he can see that you have your own interests, i think it will appeal to your Cap, seeing his woman dedicated to something. 😉

It seemed like you were bitching at me rather than giving me advice and your whole response was condescending to begin with, that's what got me pissed. But...I'll take your advice and calm the fuck down and be easy. You're telling someone who wants what they want, when they want it, to wait. Realize that it's not as easy for me as it is for you. You know what's weird, he had just gotten out of a bad situation and wanted to give up and not do shit, but I'm the one who motivated him. He told me that I make things easier for him. I've never not had the drive to do what I love. There are too many things in this world that I wanna take on before I start sprouting grays.

🙂 I am somebody with three close Aries friends. I've met these people at different points of my life, when i was at the lowest level. One of them was a teacher in my highschool, and the other two i've met later in life. I admire and respect them, not only because the believed me when i was in a bad situation, but because they inspire me, they never want to hold me back but want me to move toward the future.
You know, i think both Cappy and Aries has this quality, that we want to go move forward. Our life is a journey, we both like adventure, we both able to work hard, and like honesty. I also think both Aries and Cappy are loyal to the ones they love. (No matter if it is friendship, family or love.)

The thing what's most inspiring in Aries for me, is that they allow me to be independent, to be free, and at the same time we are both loyal and are together. When i am weak, they want to see me as strong. When i am anrgy they ask me to shout and do not hol back. (I am a Cappy, i always has this poker face, even if i am super anrgy!) I love my Aries bestie because he say: tell me what's on your mind, we will work it out. And i tell him what bothers me, istead of making fun of me, he listens tells me his view and after i calmed down (some times i can worry a lot) we move on. He never mentions it again.

But not all Aries is like that. My father (Aries!) if i trust him, later when he suddenly gets angry he hurts me with the things i told him before. He uses my most vulnerable points against me, so i can't trust him with my deepest feelings, even if i love him.

Aries and Cappy relationships can work well, i am sure if there is mutual trust, respect, and OPEN communication between the partners. Sometimes from the differences you can learn and improve. I don't know how you will progress with your Cap, but i am sure it will be a valuable experience.

Don't waste time listening to people trying to turn you into something they want you to be. Posters on this thread apparently think Men only want the kind of woman they are, or who they idealize they are, but forgot that the world doesn't work that way.

I glanced at the post hoping constructive conversation took place. I saw a lot of possible good info posted wrapped around harsh critiques of Aries without thought of whether you are a person.

Don't change Amber911, always become more you and grow (we all must do that), nothing wrong with being in a relationship or liking who you like, but don't for one second put yourself second mentally over any man--or woman for that matter.

Do understand you and this guy might find a great way to relate, and don't be discouraged if it doesn't get off the ground, there are so many great guys out there and you can count this encounter as a way to gauge what you want in this world.

i get along great with aries. if an aries was interested i wouldnt wait around. im impatient myself.

also...aries females tend to act tomboyish ie spitting, farting, and burbing...in my company. i dont mind it bt its sorta discusting lol.
