Okay, So

It's been 4 weeks since i ended things with my Capricorn ex. I insisted on no contact and made him agree to it also, during our last meeting.

However, we still have a financial matter between us - basically the Capricorn loaned me the deposit money when I bought my house, about a year and a half ago. I've repaid half of it back to him during the r/ship but after things ended and we agreed to no contact, I haven't heard a thing from him about the remainder of the money owing. Being of the paranoid Cancerian variety I began to become very anxious as to why he wasn't rushing to get the rest of his money back. It got so bad I had visions of him dragging me to court, sending me threatening letters from solicitors etc., but there has been nothing.

So, I emailed him a week ago asking him what the outstanding amount was as I hadn't kept exact records. (I didn't say in the email I hadn't kept exact records!) I know he would have received the email - but there was no reply.

I plan on paying most of the outstanding amount into his bank account next week, but I suppose I'm somewhat puzzled. I'm sort of thinking it's either because I am of not worthy of a response having ended it, or that I was supposed to freak out and ring him when he didn't reply to my email.

Any thoughts appreciated :-)

(Nobody say he is going to take me to court and demand I be burnt at the stake, please.)

I should add that every time I wanted to end the relationship (while the relationship was still in existence) he would instantly use threats about the money and legal action, and this went on many times, every time. So now when I finally did end things completely, not a word about the money or any legal threats!

Is it just that he doesn't want to lose the control he has - and that once I pay the money back it's absolute closure!?

I doubt he's that pressed about her paying him back too, despite the threats. Caps will pull out anything to win or one up a person in a situation, but if he hasn't mentioned it then I doubt he cares, however, make sure you pay him back for your own sanity and your own closure.
