Phone or Text

I LOVE TEXTING because:

1.) It's way easy to chit-chat when you are busy

2.) It's just plain convieniet

3.) If you get the right plan, they are free -- if you go over your talk time, the fees can kill you.

However, there are people (even in my generation) who just don't like to text and don't even know how to do it :/

Is it bad to communicate with those who don't like to text less of the time? Not because you don't want to but simply because you don't have time to talk really ...

My Aries friend, who is a bit younger than me, takes texting as an insult to avoid talking to someone LOL!!! I tell him that texting is just easier for some people but he's convinced that if you have time to move your figures than you can call to.

ppffttttt!!! 😛 I don't see it that way.

I mean, I'll agree, some people are just long winded and don't know when to cut a conversation off but that's why you schedule a time to talk to them b/c you know that you may be awhile xD!

I mean, I was on the phone with a friend of mine and I kept telling him that I had to go but he just kept on and on and on and on and on and on ..... you get the idea.

So then, when I cut the convo short, he's like, "So you don't want to talk to me anymore, fine be that way". It's like, dude -- do you know what time it is— I gotta go to work in the morning, you don't lol

^^^^ hahaha really? See, I guess I'm different, I can't be on the phone if there's nothing to talk about. I mean, if there's something on your mind, just tell me. If you don't want to talk about it, then why did you call to "talk".


The worst thing: When you text someone and they call you afterwards xD! My leo friend did that to me recently lol and when I didn't answer she got pissed lol. Well damn it I couldn't talk at the time she called -- hence the reason why I "texted" her lol *rolls eyes*

I need a headset too or something that's hands-free -- I can't do anything if one hand is up and the other is down. Not because I can't use one hand but because I can't hold a convo and still do stuff like.

Speaker phone is different but I learned the hard way that speaker phone should only be done in the car when you are alone 😉


I'm fine with email too, only because I can get to it when I can.


My friends have found a way to trick me though lol, if they see me on twitter, they assume I'm not doing anything and then they will call :x!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I knew someone who was like that but it wasn't a family member. He was a creeper, sent me a text every 5 minutes :O No joke. And OMG, if I didn't say goodnight to him, he'd spazz out like whoa!


2 dudes I've met were like that and I've wondered constantly about them mentally.

LOL! My ex-roomie came home once and I didn't know he was there and he heard things that was soooo not any of his business.

At my parents home, I put my friend/ guy I was dating on speakerphone so I can do some homework and I told him to him he was on speaker and to not say *bad* stuff while we were talking. This idiot just couldn't filter his language to save his life so we just stopped talking and he got annoyed ^_^.

i hate talking on the phone but my cap bf and especially my cap best friend looooove talking on the phone. i once ignored my best friend's calls for a week because after telling him several times how much i hated talking on the phone he always insisted on calling me every goddamn day at 10am to talk about NOTHING!!!!!

^^^^ exactly 😄 I mean, somethings can get lost in translation when texting and that's when calling is effective but whatever, until my life in more stable, texting works well b/c its straight to the point and its just cooler :p

When it comes to an actual conversation, I'm more of a face-to-face kind of person anyway, that's just easier too b/c there's no bsing if the person is right there.

I don't like to waste my time on the phone and really don't like texting. I'm not real talkative, but I do call my man to talk about nothing because I simply want to touch base.

The only person I text is my ex-wife specifically because I do not want to talk to her but I HAVE to communicate with her.

I always prefer face-to-face conversations. Facial expressions, eye contact, and tone of voice are important. If you cannot speak in person, a phone call is next best because you can still get tone of voice. A voice can have a soothing quality that written words just cannot convey. Hell, I even like email better than texting...

I like both but I really enjoy phone conversations when I and the other person has time.
The thing I really don't like about texting is that things can be taken out of context or not understood in the way you were meaning.
I do like it for some of the same reasons others have posted though as it can be ultra convenient a lot of time.
I have even had text sex and that is A LOT of fun!!!! 😉

THEY NEVER STAY IN RIGHT! 3 years ago I just let my headset run out of battery and never recharged it. Ieft it that way so long that it couldnt be recharged anymore. 🦇😢

Text...talking on the phone is something I do to for others but certainly not myself.

i like texting,too. i'm terrible on the phone,not a phone person at all. but,i want to start doing it more. however,i think most people are the same way nowadays. it seems that it's like 1 or 2 out of ten people who don't really text but phone. it's just the way the times are nowadays. you canstill be a phone person but texting is more common now. ettiquette rules have changed.

I mean, I'm fine on the phone but damn it all to hell, people seem to call or have something *very urgent* to tell when I'm up to my eyebrows in my own busyness lol. Yes, I understand things are important, but if they didn't have my number, who would they call with all the problems 😉

The sexing can get you in a ton of trouble later on 😉 It's fun when others do it but I generally don't. I did it a few times with this Saggie guy but when he told me that he saves all my texts I was like WHOA :O Then he refuses to delete them, even now since we don't go out *bastard*

There are some exceptions. When I met Cappysweetie years ago, we talked on the phone, and got along great in person. But I would say that is the only time where I got along just as good with someone through the phone as I did in person.

^^^^^^ well, maybe the words you use on others is just misplaced frustrates with other things 🙂 That happens to many and they don't even know it nor do they acknowledge it.

^^^^^^^^ well, it still goes back to what I said before, whether or not you knew it. Actually, the ones who have alot deep down inside know what they are saying to hate others but they feel they have to do it because they have no other outlet. These people tend to get confused as well, they don't speak up when they should but then they say to much when they shouldn't.

Only in rare occasions do they keep their mouths shut when they are suppose to and rip someone to bits when its needed and deserved ^_^.

What they need to do is find out what their trouble really is and then that will help them balance out their moods.

i know i need to accept limitations but it is not something i naturally enjoy. i know what i need to do / feel but i am resisting my own will.

So you expect some much out of yourself and you usually give 100% in whatever you can do within your own limitations yet, you are holding yourself back from other things and that frustrates you because you know you can do it but instead you choose to fight it all out of fear ....?

I didn't mean fear as in, you are afraid of others. Oh no ^_^. But not that you know that, think about what I said. The fear aspect that is. Not being afraid of others or what you might be capable of doing to others. Something else entirely.

You know ... sometimes I have trouble with keeping alot of things going in my head :/ It's head to bring all those things out of my head and that frustrates me at times. It's like skipping around in your own brain but when it's time to bring it all out, you take baby-steps :/
