i have cap moon and i'm around quite a few. i don't think it's actual coldness, but a cool and contained demeanor. we don't like our emotions out on display in public. we worry about finding the right way to express ourselves. and coming to trust others is much more difficult. there's a very strong need for a sense of security.
while i'm very unfiltered and raw with those i'm close to, if i'm not comfortable with a person/situation, i emote nothing. i appear detached. it frustrates the hell out of people who can't see past my pokerface.
as a scorp though, the cap influence really keeps me in check, productive, super sharp, and grounded. i'm thankful for it.

I'm a Cap (SagiCap for cusp pedants) with a Cap moon. Deep and dark has been used to describe me, even seemingly unpresent/absentminded) but never cold. My Leo husband never sensed a disinterest or coldness from me. My parents have always been concerned that I'm too emotional, sensitive and that it makes me an easy target. My Pisces dad has trouble with this deep and emotional side of me that are often projected as aggressiveness. But these are of course people who know me well. There may be people who've never really got to know me who think of me as cold but they've never told me so I wouldn't know because of my tendency to be deep in thought.
Sometimes I can be the way Exoskeleton describes herself in her second paragraph. I can be very uncommunicative, with an unemotive face or I blabber and have the widest smile so no one else gets a word in. I need to stay in control one way or the other. Deep issues? Definitely!

Capricorn is the most materialistic and the most spiritual of the zodiac from the esoteric point.
Especially if your chart is mixed with a water sign like scorpio or cancer can makes you even more complex and deeper.
Difficult to get to know and often misunderstood.
But then again, not all cappies are the same. Prominents are important and sure there are common traits but when it comes to the individual, people differ in content.

On dxp we can let loose but in the RW, it's all as you say--poker face. I don't trust easily, and love does not come without a fight. I almost feel as though my emotions have been arrested, lol.
And I was going to say this to BGP that yes, the Cap moon will absolutely balance that Scorp sun.click to expand
Thank you, VV, I appreciate that being said, the cap moon balances the scorp sun. I actually thought it would make it worse, given the extreme emotional nature of scorpios. But, your and Exo's explanations here make sense.

There's such a natural understanding between my boys and I regarding our tempers and triggers and security needs. Even Leo hub has learnt to understand that an outburst from any of the boys or me is not the end of the world and it's really in Leo's interest to look at other's needs otherwise his needs might get squashed too. 😉

I'm a Cap moon/mars, and I have to say that I've dealt with a lot of the same struggles that many of you have mentioned. I agree that we NEED to feel a sense of security in our lives/relationships- which can make us quite the control freaks. I am also quite calculated and do find it very difficult to trust. If I meet you and don't feel a warm/friendly vibe from you initially, the defences go up and the poker face goes on. I would imagine that I would come across cold and detached at first glance.
On a positive note, I will say that my Cap moon helps me to be taken seriously in a school/athletics/work environment. I've always been very successful and a overachiever.
With my loved ones, I'm very warm, open and communicative with my feelings- sometimes overly so. If I love you, I will gush about you- to your face.

I`ve a Cap moon and my mother had an Aqua moon.
As I remember from my childhood motherly figure is way too distant for me. It`s maybe because she used to work for long hours, I had some feeling that she consider me as a burden rather than child. But I can`t complain too much, since she raised me, just Aqua moon mothers are pretty cold/indifferent towards their children.

I've got a Capricorn Moon conjunct Mercury in the 7th. I think this conjunction modifies the Lunar Capricorn traits that I have. Unlike most Cappy Moons, I have a great relationship with my Mom. My dad has a Capricorn Moon and his mother gave him up for adoption. He HATES his mother for that... Hm. Its really not a bad placement though. Just be genuine and sincere. Give me space and time. Don't betray me.... and we'll get along FINE. 😄

Can you tell me what you know about the Cap moon? What have your experiences been with Cap mooners? Particulary ones with their sun also in earth.
Is it truly the 'coldest' moon placement to have?
