Posted by MsTeeq1974So let's say if all signs point to not being tied down what would this bring? Using myself once again as an example, my Venus is water, Mars fire. I do this really quite...counterproductive thing where I may really be interested in someone, but when they come on too strong I get flighty. My mars wants me to be independent, my Venus desires security and comfort. It is almost annoying at how against each other they are. Granted my Venus doesn't have many hard aspects thankfully, but I do feel bad for being as flighty as I sometimes can be. It's sickeningly ironic though, because I run from those who truly would like to be devoted, but I run TO those who are even more flighty than myself.
Hello. I do a bit of natal chart reading and it depends on the sign that your venus and other planets are in as to what types of relationships will be affected. However, the squares and oppositions represents challenges within in regards to how you relate to people. So if you're interacting with someone and you don't feel good about it, the work that needs to be done is more within than it is that the other person needs to do something different.
Just remember that challenges aspects to your Venus is not a dooms day prophecy for your love life. There are so many other natal and synastry aspects that can happen to alleviate, compliment, and in other cases neutralize/balance those challenges.

Posted by tizianiThis is very interesting to me. I was interested because I followed one long thread of yours, though I didn't comment (I don't think anyways) I followed what you were saying. I also decided to pull up my progressed and saw Venus was sq. Saturn. After finding that I researched it and it was strangely true...very annoying too lol. I used to be friends with a girl whose birthday was the same as mine! It was too cool. Granted she definitely had a different ascendant. Her personality was more tamed than mine. I was a social little ball of lightheartedness and she was more somber/serious. I wonder how her love life is doing with her Venus sq. her Saturn. We lost touch after high school.Posted by degenerate_ingenueCorrect.
okay okay I can see that. so as you have written before, can this go back to what you were saying about progressive charts? Such as with the Saturn example, when they hit different points in life can this be lesser or more prominent?
for example right now if I do my progressed chart, my Venus is square my Saturn (this is the only hard aspect so I figure since it's in the example you gave this works - lol). So would this mean right now at my current point in life, Venus square Saturn issues may arise in my life even though it is not in my natal?
And if it IS in someone's natal but it is NOT in their progressed, would this mean the issue of Venus sq. Saturn is less prominent in their life?
And in fact, if it's in progressed and not in natal it's more internal to you. Because it's happening in your personal chart totally independent of anyone else.
If it were in natal there are people born around the same time of year as you, or even same day as you that will have similar experiences.
But what's happening in your progressions is meaningful to you right here and now, and it tends to be a little more unshakeable for the chart holder because it feels so real to them.click to expand

Posted by degenerate_ingenueHonestly this sounds like more of a house thing than it does a Venus/Mars thing. I mean, yes, some of it might be Venus and Mars struggles....but not entirely. Something else is at work here. I can feel it. It's not as simple as it looks and that's why the solution isn't coming to you so easily. But yes, the way that you describe Venus and Mars...kinda. Your Venus wants intimacy, but your Mars wants adventure. You can have both...especially with a partner who provides both. Like a person with a fiery venus and watery mars. Again...their clinging is NOT the issue. The issue is how you view that clinging and what it means to you. Obviously you fear it, but again...that inherent fear of losing your freedom is not entirely the water venus/fiery mars thing. That's the expression of the fear and where you feel most comfortaPosted by MsTeeq1974So let's say if all signs point to not being tied down what would this bring? Posted by MsTeeq1974Hmm...Venus in the 1st, Mars in Second. May I DM?

What would this mean for an individual's tolerance of relationships? This is hypothetical, because usually there are some trines, sextiles in a chart that help balance such things, but what if those were not there? Would this make it difficult for a person to want/be in a relationship? I am just curious as I research different aspects in general.
Tiz, you're knowledge is always welcome 😄
