i have this book on dream interpretation, it is sort of a dictionary and a friend lent it to me, i had a dream where i was protecting a (i dont remember what type of bear it was, but im guessing a polar bear) a mother bear and her cub from a polar bear. the polar bear seemed to have a playful aura, to it, much like a puppy pitbull i used to have, which reminded me of it in the dream, but at the same time i sensed fear because you never know with animals, and the bear that was trying to catch or play or eat the baer and her cub was a polar bear, however, toward the end of the dream, the polar bear tricked me and went under a table to get near the cub and when i got to it and started hitting it with a broom, it turned into a black bear, and began to come after me which i ran away( i work at papa johns and this is where the setting took place, the bear chasing the other bear and the cub to the back and then chasing me to the front), it chased me to the front and i knocked some things down to try and stop it (it did not have a aggressive feel to it, once again it was a playful aura that the bear was chasing me with, but my fears were that its instincts would take over when it got to me) and once it got to the front of the building the bear turned into a tall white woman with a green shirt and large breasts and a large smile and started sliding to the side and that all i remember. my book tells me that the bear represents a motherly figure and that me hitting the bear means that im going through a struggle and will come out victorious, however a website(http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=bear)tells me that the polar bear means renewal and rebirth yadda yadda. is there a better source of truth and perspection on dreams or is everything i look at going to be different and thus will i never have an accurate determination of what my dream means?
