So this would be interesting to see since we all come different parts of the US. What do you think is going to be the new craze for this coming winter. I don't want to know what they say in the magazines, because those are usually geared towards the city that they are printed in (like New York) I want to know what all the women are going to or are starting to buy in your cities for this winter season. Please do tell I find different fashions are fascinating. For example, I know in Florida they are probably pulling out their ugg boots and fur hoodies right now because they are (well at least North FL) really into the whole holister/abercrombie look.

In Cali I wouldn't be surprise if some of the girls in Cali will pulling out their last year (last season) ugg boots and fur hoodies because of the economy (I know I will! πŸ˜„). But I would imagine this year for those not so effected by the econ would be wearing sweater dresses with the thigh high boots, bulky peticoats, fur vest (for going out), and lots of big oversized accesories. A lot of boots will definitely be selling this season but not of the ugg variety. And we can't forget the scarfs, elaborlately designed scarfs, usually just the long big ons the hang around their necks, not wrapped, just hung.

For make-up I say bronze, blue-smoke, and purple- smoke will be popular for the night life, and of course nude lips will still be in.

This I predict.

What's your prediction for your area code?

Ugh... living in the Midwest we are always about 2 years behind. LOL Sinful and Affliction are still the rage here. LOL I DO love Sinful though. The style is totally me.
That being said I'm not a huge trend follower. I stick to what *I* like.

Winter here can be pretty brutal (winds and snow sweeping in off the plains). So I go for warmth over anything when it comes to the below zero weather with wind chills in the negative teens and twenties. I'll seriously put on my Carhart (farm girl wear) bibs if there is a bizzard out to keep warm. So much for looking fashionable!!

Uggs... not so much a fan of. Alot of the girls around here wore them this summer with shorts. I just thought they looked kinda messy like they just rolled out of bed and put on slippers or something.
I do like the knee high fur trimmed boots. Those look good AND they are warm. I prefer brown. It just looks more rustic. πŸ˜„

As for make up I HAVE to stick with what I know works for me. I can NOT do blues. I look like a hooker with anything blue on my face because it's just too much for my pale skin. I can do dark plums, browns, bronze, and some deep greens but that's about it. I like gold for a bit more of a dramatic thing but I have to be careful with that too.
Fall is my time because I have the coloring that is geared more toward the fall colors. πŸ™‚ Right now I'm rocking my paler skin (no more spray tanning) the stained berry lips and the darker "flushed" cheeks. I like to look like I just came in from a chilly walk.

I'm in cali and yes the econ sucks! But I have a serious prob when it comes to fall shopping. Lol. I have no self control. I have already been spending money on fall clothes that I shouldn't be. πŸ™‚ I recentrly bought 4 items for fall. A black (kind of) motorcycle leather jacket, an off white coat with black buttons, a pair of blk over the knee boots and this big old brown leather bag from last season that I had been saving up for all yr. I still LOVE big bags. I see flat boots, tights, uggs being big again. I also see clutches (for going out) getting big. Thigh high boots will be big. But its hard for ppl from cali to really get into the fall trends bc it does not get that cold out here, but I sure try to. Lol. I was thinking about buying a pair of the knit brown uggs...less bulky looking.

What do you say to korean fashion?
i just saw a fashion mall of korean fashion, you may have a look : wholesale-fromchina.net

I don't know about Korean fashion and not to be a total asshole (because I know how much the Koreans and Japs hate each other)but.... For me Tokyo is the new Paris.... I'm
pretty sure the mags I've been reading are Jap, either that and I'm completely mistaken and it's a Korean mag. Either way my fashion senses this year, and maybe even next, will be of an Asian influence. It's pretty, funky, cute, and most of all unique without being crazy. I'll post some pics soon of what I'm talking about.

Yeah uggs are so out for me even though I know I will be wearing them sometime this winter! Uggs with shortsβ€” I dunno. I don't like it.

You know what you would look gorgeous in for a night time or even daytime eye shadow. The right kind of gold, and more with a bronzing tint to it. Since it winter edens right lighter skin is in so you can do so much especially to get that porcelian look. Ooooo I wish you were here in SD! I would love doing your make-up. Lol if I wasn't going to college I'd want to be a make-up artist.

Ugg it is a negative and a positive, on the one hand we don't HAVE to go out and spend a lot of
money to keep warm (because winter wardrobes are expensive!). On the other there are a lot of cute thins coming out for the winter.

xtina - You are right about ppl form cali not HAVING to go out and buy a lot of uber expensive Winter clothes. Which is great! Especially, with money being as funny as it has been.

Funny story. On saturday, I bought a pair of peep toe, patent leather, black mary janes. I knew I was probably spending too much for them, but I got them anyway because they are adoable. Well yesterday, I ran into an old frined from high school at a birthday party. He was telling me that he recently got engaged and that him and his wife are looking for homes. He said that he had been saving up for YEARS. Now, you know houses in Cali are NOT cheap. He was telling me that instead of following the latest trends, etc he was saving his money. I felt like a piece of crap! Lol. Here i am buying a bunch of clothes that I dont need. I have a little savings, I save like 5% of each check. But still... Needless to day, when I got home i started trying to find things wrong with the mary janes that i had just bought so that I could feel good about retunring them. Lol.

You know as an Aries it's not exactly easy for me to save either. Luckily, I've devised a good rationale for that.... Everyone has a different financial agenda, I don't nescessarily NEED to save up for anything so when I have extra money I like to spend it on myself. Nothing wrong with that. Plus, it makes me happy πŸ˜„.

Personally, I think you should keep those shoes, you bought it, you love it... The only reason for ever returning anything is if you end up hating it πŸ™‚.

That's rubbish,I've known plenty of women who buy outfits with the intention of returning them for a refund,as they're only going to wear it the one time, to some mega-important party or similar πŸ™‚

"Personally" I'm too lazy to buy something wear it once and return it, the whole process takes too much time... keeping the tags, making sure the item stays pristine, and there is a certain window of time frame in which it must be returned. Plus, @ Forever 21 (the main store I shop at) only gives back store credit for returns.

Most likely I bought it because I really liked it, therefore I buy it for keeps.

"The other ones look like hes crapped his pants. I was like, is he serious? lol The dark ones give off the appearance of having a big.."

Colostomy bag"

I nearly spit my drink out when I read that lmao

"I think quite a few women would dress their man like a spazz to mark their territory,"

Or you can avoid all that by picking guys who aren't flashy dressers to begin with (plus it keeps his pride in tact so you don't have to bother 'dressing' him πŸ˜›), and the ones who aren't too good looking. Seriously though, I never go for guys that all the chicks dig. Call me insecure or whatever you want, but its how I bes πŸ™‚ I'm very possessive like that.
