Make up trends that men hate:

1. Blue Eyeshadow. Done in moderation this trend could border on acceptable, but truth be told, there is very little appeal in having the lids of your eyes emulate baby smurfs. —I'd suggest Googling 'The Drew Carey Show' for reference.

2. Too Bright Lip Color. Men usually hate lip color that are too dark, too bright or in an unusual colour. Vampy burgundies, purples, bright oranges and hot pinks just to mention a few.

3. Too-tanned Skin. Unless you??re a cast member on The Jersey Shore, it's likely in your best interest to keep the fake-baking to a minimum. Nobody likes a human orange, think before you bed.

4. Unconventional Nail Colours. Nail colours that men just don't —understand??: the dark, Gothic shades (black, burgundy, navy), the grieges, the taupes and the brights (oranges, yellows, greens).




... Now imagine wearing all of those at once... I'm telling you that would make Waldo a lot easier to find.

Make up is not all that bad. It does make a HUGE difference in some people when used correctly

It should accent what you have naturally, not overpower it. Good rule of thumb is..if you're afraid someone would see you without it, you're not doing it right.

Maybe because if you saw what they looked like those females wouldn't be as reproductively successful or get as much attention from males. After all the whole point of wearing make up for females is to outcompete other females in getting a particular male or the attention of males in general.

wearing strange makeup is so much fun

it's funny how for example the nailpolish-colours expanded...like two years ago no one could imagine wearing yellow nails or black lipstick or sth... and then fashion-trends change and it becomes wearable..

I doubt men even notice black or bright yellow nail polish, honestly. Well unless the girl has incredibly long finger nails or unless she's literally flaunting them in his face.

And I'll agree about the lip stick/gloss thing. Depsite popular believe, men don't really care for the bright reds & all the "Strawberry-flavored" crap we put on our lips. They like natural looking lips just like they do natural skin tones, hair, etc.

I mean sheesh, it's already bad enough that we already smell like 22 fruits b/c of our colognes! I'm sure men hate fruit now b/c of women. Smh

several guys have told me that
1)they don't like too much glitter around the eyes cuz it makes girls look cheap.
2)they don't like red nail polish cuz it makes girls look like hoochies.
3)they don't like black nail polish cuz it makes girls look emo and unsanitary.

Heh, as if I give a shit what mean like or do not like. I play with makeup and fashion for fun, not to try to attract penis to my vajayjay.

If I feel like rocking out blue eyeshadow, fake eyelashes, red lips, black nails, tanned skin and fishnets.... I will, probably not together, ever, but even if I did it's my prerogative. And I'd never feel any less confident or beautiful.

Too much makeup.
If he can't recognize you without your makeup, that's a sign that you're using too much lol He probaly won't know how to react to something like that. You still have to look like you're the same person with or without the makeup lol

I don't wear make-up. I don't think I look all that bad without it. I don't know if I would go as far as it should have never been invented but some people go overboard.

I would want to wear make up but I always felt like I look like a clown. So I just don't wear it but one thing I love is my lip gloss. Especailly the fruity smelling stuff. I turn my self on...lol.

well 20 lbs is too much I was just making a point. Usually makeup helps to increase the natural qualities of a person's facial features. Little mascara, little gloss, little blush BAM. Beats being all washed out. If you are lucky to have a natural glow and pink cheeks you are fuckin lucky! This is all I am saying. Most women are so fuckin not.

Men don't hate makeup, we just don't want it to be shitloads on you.
If you look good with a certain color lipstick, eyeshadow, nailpolish.. just go for it.
Just don't load on too much of everything.

Guys like 'natural' makeup is crap too. Makeup was made to play with, but no crayola gangbang on your face.
If you feel comfortable in what you applied, why should you care what anyone else thinks?
Just don't overdo the whole thing and you'll be fine.

Absolutely disgusting knowing how people can sleep at night whilst profiting off others' bodily insecurities. If only women knew they don't really have to.

You don't look 'rough', ladies. It only seems so because when you wear it so religiously, that it seems off when you choose to show up one day bare faced. It's like taking off your glasses after years of wearing them. Not grotesque, just different than usual. Stop wearing it for about a week and people will forget what you like like *with* it.

As a woman who wears makeup I will say that I DO NOT care what a man thinks about my makeup!!! My makeup is tasteful and I always get compliments. I like the way it enhances the beauty that I already have, therefore no male opinion is going to change something that I feel makes me happy. Do i go out in public bare faced, yes because I am comfortable with myself. I have never had any trouble in the love department because of my makeup so I will continue to wear it, don't like it then don't look! I will say some women take it too far though and look like drag queens with 5 lbs if makeup, crazy lashes and scary deformed brows.

Make Up is necessary. Keep the illusion going. Reality would be worse in some cases.

This is the only one that I disagree with. Well, I agree about the brights being tacky, but burgundy, black, navy and a lot of taupe shades can look nice, as long as your nails are short and neatly manicured.
