Lately, I've been wearing more and more dresses. I have decided that I simply want to wear dresses and skirts all of the time until I decide that I don't want to. From here on out, anything I add to my wardrobe will be either a dress or a skirt, and accompanying feminie things.

"I love your colors!" That's what a guy beamed at me yesterday as I walked to work, and I heard the same comment throughout the day from various people. I don't know if it's an Aries thing or what, but I love to wear bold colors, fun jewelry, and mix things up - think Lou from 'You Before Me' (minus the fuzzy sweaters. 😄 ) ❤

I ordered a few dresses of Amazon and hey arrived today. Everything fits great but the Chocolaticas shoes I ordered. I'm may utilize free return and get a size up.

I ordered a yellow dress with cats on them, a beige dress with veggies on them, and a white dress with beetles on them from CowCow on Amazon.

I absolutely LOVE them. I feel so feminine in them (they have a soft, light, stretch, fabric like you would find on a bathing suit so it falls nicely and is silky to the touch. I couldn't stop twirling in my room. I don't show my legs, so I wear colorful tights under all of my dresses. I also wear boleros.

I also bought another 50's style dress to wear to a wedding in August.

I think I need to get some nail polish to match my outfits. I love to coordinate and play with textures. 😄

Anyone else love to wear dresses?

@exxtasyx, thank you! I really do love her style! Wearing dresses and skirts makes me feel happy.

I honestly like to wear different things on different days. And I also love to wear hats. Sometimes girls will make comments, "Well, YOU'RE very colorful today." "Well, you're brave for wearing that hat." But I don't mind because I enjoy what I wear.

In the winter, I do rock my oversized sweaters, fun Pom-Pom beanies, and winter tights. And I can rock a Ninja Turtles t-shirt like a woman.

You wouldn't catch me wearing UGGS because I genuinely do not like them or the shape. The idea of having something soft on my feet getting dirty, squishy and wet bothers me.

Funny you say that about attracting more guys because the day I met My Love in December I was wearing my favorite hoodie. I was having a long day, and I was stressed from my college newspaper meeting (I was the Editor-in-Chief.) So it shows that guys like so many different things about a woman.:

My boyfriend encourages my style, and he shows me he likes it whenever he compliments me, so that's just the sprinkles and candy on my cake! 😄 But it really is a wonderful feeling to go out with him clothed in something girly. It seems to just reinforce things for us on a fun level.

I enjoyed reading this and looking at your dresses LilyPetal! That's awesome that you're wearing what you want to wear and also getting compliments - perfect combo!

I like dresses and skirts too. Dresses make it easier to put together an outfit, IMO, because mostly you have to think about the shoes you wear to match, whereas with separates there's more to think about in terms of coordination.

I've purchased something like six swing dresses

in the past couple of months... well, two were

actually more like simple t-shirt dresses.

Solid colours, all but one-- stripes.

For me, though, it's not so much the feminine aspect--

they're just so comfortable, and they look great.

Those babydoll shoes-- I used to have a pair in green

velvet, and another in brown.

I LOVED them... haven't thought about them in ages.

@Copperdove-- look at that first link, in op. 🙂

Good stuff, Lily.

Likely we were posting at a similar time and mine went through first. I've seen that happen on DXP when I've posted before. It always throws me.

I like that style of shoe! When I was a kid, it was popular to wear what we called Chinese slippers. They looked almost exactly like that in style , but they were cheaply made, and they were available in black mostly, not patterns. You could also get them with embroidered designs on the front. I had a pair with dragons on them, I think.

My go-to, everyday purse!
I absolutely love the purse.

I utilize skirts a lot as well. My style is veered more towards classic, arty, sophisticated, chic, etc.. Since Summer is upon us I might be seen more with beach wave hair, sunglasses, and thin hip hanging maxi skirts with cute sandals and light tops.

I don't wear them 24/7 but they're not stuffed in the back of my closet either. They might get pushed back a little during Fall though.

That makes me feel better 😛

And yes, I do too... oblique toes, even.

Idk that I've seen that on flats like that before.

I had a pair of those, too.. the Chinese slippers .

Black, no dragons.
