Cancer Gemini Compatibility ?

i am a Cancer, moon in Gemini, Libra is my raising sign. He is Gemini sun, Leo moon, Leo raising. i'm not sure how this works but are we in ANY way compatible? or do you think that its possible for us to make this relationship work? We started off as strictly friends 5 years ago, and ended up growing deeper quickly before i knew it. Well he pretty much made most of the effort telling me in bits and pieces how he really felt. I fell in love.. although i didn't show it much but he felt it. We then became the center of attention, the circle of ALL drama in ONE city (that we lived in) and we broke up and it was the worst feeling in me, ever. It was gross i will never feel like that again. Anyways, 5 years later(2 months ago) we reunite and feelings come rushing back. The love i have for him is insanely deeper than ever it makes me feel sick. I never felt like this about anyone before. and after he and i broke up in 2005 i've had 5 relationships after him. 2 were my ex's and none of them lasted longer than a year.Its like i have a short attention span or something. I really don't want to waste time bringing the past back into my life unless there's a way that i can work us around the incompatibility. I'm obviously way more mature than he is so i if there's a way to work this out i'll guide us to that with no problem.

MoonBunny you're a bit off mark on that. A 22 year old girl cannot possibally be mature enought to have a 'mature' relationship. Keep living and keep growing, then, and only then can you have an idea on what makes a Gemini tick. 😉

i don't understand. This confuses me. Usually i can let go of someone.. hell i can let go of anyone.. lol i don't stress i'm moving around the world meeting different people and testing them, its actually fun if stay on my toes not falling into their "deep emotions". Anyways my friendships don't last, whether its male or female. My mood changes so much sometimes that i can't even keep a grip of myself and i believe i have a short attn span. That being said, any man who plays a mind game with me i'm not about to sit there and spend my valuable time trying to figure him out. I don't have the patience for that. but for someee strong reason i actually WANT to ride on his coaster of emotions i feel like it'll be fun. It is clear to me that there is no logic to what i want. Why would i WANT to play this game ? Actually (lol) to be honest, i play the same game with guys all the time. No i'm not proud of what i do, i don't do it to be some "female player" but to test the weight of these guys hearts and wow !! i don't like emotional men. i need someone to keep me on my toes. I have absolutely no intention on hurting someone's feelings.

Anyways Its been 5 years and a couple months since we've been together. I've been in exactly 5 relationships after him. 2 were already my ex's, Aquarius and Pisces, a boring.. pisces. None of them lasted longer than a year.
2 months after [gemini] and i start speaking again, here i am sitting online trying to read about his personality. i feel way out of my character but maybe its just another one of my moods.? Of course i never expressed these feelings to him. who cares ?
Honestly, i want him in my life forever, next to me. i always wanted that... i feel like i need him. He stayed on my mind the whole 5 years and i didn't acknowledge it not once.

I am a cancer. and its very clear on this site that we are very incompatible. So how do i make this feeling go away ?

If i can't get rid of the feeling then screw it. He's staying in my life he gives me a unique feeling like he's supposed to be there. So i'll just stop pushing him away.

I'm just confused right now.. i don't talk about things like this to anyways thank God i'm behind a computer screen right now .

Yes. Thats what i want. but me being me in my moods i think i might not GET that when i want it. He changes his moods just as fast as i do but we'll see. i guess i'll just go about my day until he calls. lol what a way to live if i wasn't so "in love" with this guy this could be so much easier.

It can happen, it would just require a lot of work on both sides. And the two of you would have to be willing to put in the same amount of effort. I'm a Gemini and I can be with someone for quite a while before I start to feel caged in or unhappy. Ususally a partner who is very jealous or possessive will push me away over time. So take that into consideration before you date a gem. We need freedom (and that doesnt mean we're out playing the field or doing things we should't be doing) and we are just as willing to give it in return. I was with a cancer once and his jealousy eventually led to the end of our relationship.

Out of all the signs, I cannot see the Gem/Cancer thing working. Cancers are more emotionally insecure than Pisces, and that's saying something. Cancer women tend to be so insecure within themselves because they internalize their emotions. Which is why when they come out they can be quite volatile. Gemini's need to communicate how they feel with words and actions. Cancers will go off into a corner or behind a closed door and absolutley go into deep states of depression. And I mean DEEP! A Gemini over time will lose his/her fucking mind! Litterally and figuratively. The attraction is there, but, I don't do well around Cancers for the most part because I'm an extrovert, while they are introverts. I get so bored with them over time. A Gemini will find themselves in Gemini hell by having to constantly stop or slow down so the Crab will catch up. This is Gemini 'Hell'! What ultimately will end up happening is the Gemini will fly somewhere else, sorry it's true Crabs. Doesn't matter if it's male or female, they will be in search of the 'one'.

Now, if the Crab can lose that 'fear' that they hold fast to, then, maybe.

Cancers are nurturer's of the zodiac. The irony is that it's hard for them to be that nurturer when they have all of that fear in their hearts. It's a damn illusion! If you are looking for security via proxy than that's exactly why you haven't found it. This makes my hair hurt to think about my Cancerian friends doing this. When faced with the truth that there is no Santa Clause they go off hiding and internalizing shit. Then they wonder why a Gem had to give them some air. A Gemini finds security within themselves, and I mean within THEMSELVES, DAMNIT!

The whole "mystery" thing with Cancers is not mysterious to me at all. I've noticed that is "secretive" which isn't a mystery to me. The 'secret' is that they are VERY fragile and they keep it hidden very well. When I found that out, everything changed for me. I can see why Pisces and Cancer are supposed to be almost as compatible as Aquarians and Gemini's. They tend to feed off of each others tragic hearts. It's really kinda creepy imho. All of that water would drown my ass! Yeesh!

Every Cancer male friend I know (and I mean every) is very protective of their home, while out cheating on their mates. Ironically, they tend to be compatible with weaker signs such as the fish who are so far off in La-La land that they don't even notice. So they just get away with murder, for a while. I'm dating a Piscean now and she was married to a Crab for 18 years who was banging everybody from his best friends wife to the damn babysitter. I shit you not. Cancers can be very devious peeps. But, they come off as the "I'm so friendly, and non-threatening". I see them for who they really are, fragile. But, I still love them.

I tried dating a Cancer psychiatrist once, and the clingyness just freaked me the hell out. However, I do like talking to them. Most Cancers I know are very well read folk, who are really good test takers. Far as dating one, I find the emotional withdrawals untrustworthy, because it builds up inside of them, and one day it will all come out. Sometimes violently. *SHRUGS*

We do bring it on ourselves. The difference is that we OWN it! But, we can do that because we have a knack for moving on (contrary to popular opinion) in our own way.

I really have no clue what an "unevolved Cancer type" is. All of my friends that are Cancers are over 35, so if they aren't evolved by now then, wtf? But, these are the male Cancers that I speak of. And yes, they are very prone to straying. Cancer men are the serial husbands of the zodiac. I think someone on another thread said that every married man that approached her was either a Cancer, Cappy, or a Virgo with Cancer being the most, and she is a Pisces. The woman are quite motherly and I think that they are too emotionally wrapped up in themselves to stray.

You're right, we usually figure them out in minutes, when it takes Cancers years to figure out what seems to us as a simple problem. It does get lost in translation, I think. However, I'm not so sure about that because if you think about it Gemtaur, how would you feel if someone was quicker than you about figuring out yourself? I think that they just get pissed that they didn't figure themselves out first. Water signs, as you know, are extremely ssssssslooooow. Not slow as in dumb, but slow as in brain speed. Me and my Piscean GF went through this early on, now she respects my speed and now she has learned to use it to HER advantage. Much to my delight of course!

However, I have a Taurus moon and Venus in Taurus so I might be a little more patient in relationships. But, not by much! 😉

Don't find the blow-ups too sexy Gemtaur! Cancers are the number one violent criminals in the zodiac. That's a fact. Crimes of passion no doubt.

My woman has an Aries moon too. Aries, that vibration seems to stalk me in so many ways! Grrrrr!!

The men are 'serial' daters and husbands. Trust me, it wasn't you! You probably scared the crap out of him!! To the untrained eye it would seem as chaos to a Cancer. But, it's organized chaos to say the least. One of my business partners always says: "I just can't figure you out!" That's a good thing to me. They are 'fixed', we are dual and mutable. Trust me Gemtaur, you are better off. If there's one thing I learned about men of water signs, is that they have an uncanny way of using emotions on women (every woman responds to emotion). Our superpowers are our minds. Their's is emotion. Think about like this: We use our minds the same way they use their emotions. If you were a man that could communicate via an emotional connection, what would you do with that power? Most would use it to be dogs. This is what I've noticed about every male water sign that I've encountered. And they call us Gems players. Rubbish!
