sweet, sugary foods and cold caffine beverages, I've given up on many if not most sweet sugary foods, I think I simply weaned myself off them at some point so this must be natural for Geminis, used to eat ice cream and drink soda and at some point gave up on it lost the urge to consume those items; Coffee is ok to be had only in moderation its a good purgatory a cleanser, I drink bland black coffee very light, no sugar, not a good idea to drink it strong, with caffene (didn't get the spelling right) Geminis have to watch it not good for Mercury people.

Geminis need spicy food can be found easily, diverse meats are again excellent, my background is baptist - methodist so I even eat ham and beef, vegetarianism is not good for Geminis you don't wanna miss out on all that extra protein nourishment that you get from meat sources; with spicy food keep the spice factor intermediate. Sea foods are excellent and don't skimp out on veggies! I love them.

"Beer is perfect for Geminis can be had at the 8% alcohol level.."
Hee-Hee Damn straight:p...8% ?,Oh, come on.

"Coffee is ok to be had only in moderation its a good purgatory a cleanser,..."
Eh, not I big caffine(coffee) person anywhos.

"Vegetarianism is not good for Geminis you don't wanna miss out on all that extra protein nourishment that you get from meat sources.."
HELLS NOOOO!! vegetarianism isn't good for anyone. Makes you weaker and become more complex to heel if severely injured or suffer from a deadly ailment .

"Focus on getting a lot of calcium into your system, don't worry about multi vitamins.."
Oh Yes, yet I think B-12 is a little better. Very few foods contain it & is MOST needed.

Drink lots of water.

Exercise is important, work on the muscle groups, keep a pair of dumbells that's basic right there, even better get yourself one of those multi purpose exercise kits for your home the ones that you see within appartment vicinites in the gyms, sounds familiar? You can find them at places such as Sears. I think that the dumbells and the multi purpose exercise kit are more useful to Geminis than basic running and walking.

Fast food is fine for Geminis stay away from the caffenated (eee still don't have the spelling right) drinks.

Don't snack on vending machine stuff although I think that salty 'junk food' is ok, you might as well save that money for an affordable Chinese buffet or for any ethnic restraunts. If you have salt cravings cut up a tomato and cucumber, chop up one halapeno, mix it up add a dash of salt, some onion, wee bit of Real Lemon juice, and some Italian dressing that should curb your appetite for salty junk. I even chop up some broccoli and cauliflower, throw in a few baby carrots, then Italian no need for salt.

Snacking, binging, chewing gum, drinking soda and patronizing coffee shops all that is more compulsive and addictive you might as well channel all that energy in a differnt direction.

Do not mix alchoholic beverages, stick with one variety, don't drink vodka switch over to wine, share a bottle of beer and then work on a hard liquer; do not consume a variety of alchoholic beverages in clubs.

Do not mix your alchohol consumption with consuming any caffenated drinks or 'energy' drinks such as Red Bull.

Hey got any recepies for spicy soups? here's mine

One can of Campbells tomato soup, that goes in a container on the stove with one cup of water, squeeze in on whole natural lemon or line juice, add black pepper stir up the whole thing just a few minutes on the stove till its nice and warm yummy.

Wow I'm really in a lot of trouble here.
I've noticed that spicy foods are great to speed up my metabolism but parts of my body really don't like to process them.
Tomatoes and Peppers set me on fire in too many ways to count.

I knew the calcium thing and that we love meat.

The bad thing here for me is I love coffee. Ice coffee mostly. It's the only caffeine I drink and I'm hardly never with out one in my hand.

See I don't drink alcohol, don't do drugs, I've not had sex in a long time and I'm about to give up smoking so coffee is the only vice I still have besides swearing. (Makes me feel like the girl in Adam Ant's song, dating myself with this one)

I know coffee is not good for me. I just love it too much to give it up.

Someday I guess all I'll have is talking like a trucker!!! LOL

For Geminis cigarettes and alcohol work as non prescription sedatives, light coffee is good it can be utilized as a purgative and can be used as a mild stimulant other than that we don't need coffee lol.

Geminis have unusually fast racing minds so cafinne (lol damn spelling) and cold sugary caffine drinks from Starbucks or any 'energy' drinks, sugary sweet drinks etc, are not good, have a light cup of warm black coffee and stay away from sugary foods and drinks; you don't have to give up on cigarettes unless its causing you health problems, you could switch to nicotine patches, the best alcohol for Geminis might be beer full American standard strength at 8% , do not drink and drive, wines are nice too, keep some nice red wine. No drugs, have lots of sex, safe sex with partners you know and are well aquainted with and for Gemini men use sex performance enhancers you don't necessarily have to go for the prescription varieties instead your local adult stores will have alternative enhancers in the regular tablet capsule form (variable potency products so make enquires about what you desire potency wise) and they are effective I've sampled them.

I cut down my sugar intake almost to nil by not drinking fizzy drinks or adding sugar in tea or coffee. Hate smoking and smokers, dont like kissing ashtrays. Would love to keep my lungs clean. Drink moderately and occasionally, prefer old age whiskey with 3 ice cubes (Glenfiddich my fav). Crave for BBQ chicken or steak of lamb that is cooked on flame burned on fat dripping. Dont like fast foods either, too salty for me. Used to have guilty feelings after having those crap. Other than that am a foodie, loves local street food of different countries.

I like choc chip cookies w/ a passion, so I am working on putting them down. I love fresh salads with bright color veggies. I love fish too. I just started b12 supps w/herbs. My nerves have been amped for the past 8 months, so good snacking has been my focus.

I agree with limiting caffeine. We Gems have so much energy going on in our heads, the last thing we need is something adding more punch to our nerves.

I do, however, use a 5 hour energy, on occasion before I hit the gym. Sometimes after working all day, it helps having a little boost of B vits and minimal caffeine to get me through my workout. It also adds clarity.

Now back to what foods are best for Gems. Here's the deal, outside of stimulants, it really comes down to what foods each individual's body metabolizes the easiest. It also is best to eat organic or clean foods vs. processed. Processed foods lack proper nutrition and have empty calories. That means caleries that don't bring any nutrients to the body. Most of these processed foods are on the inner areas of the grocery store. Cut back on these, eat more clean foods as Smart Chicken and Spinach, and your body will be feeling awesome.

I'm on a lion diet: I eat 60% protein, then moderate healthy carbs and healthy fats. Some people can eat more carbs, then protein, and healthy fats. While others can eat totally balanced throughout. It's all about what your body oxidizes. Your body will tell you. If you eat heavy carbs and feel sluggish, that means you need more proteins in your diet. If you a ton of protein, but feel sluggish during workouts, that means you need more healthy carbs for long term lifting and intense cardio. I determined what foods my body oxidizes the best through a blood typing test. It's akin to using the right kind of oil for your car. It's science, it's easy and it works.

you know i think the reason why i eat like an elephant is because i have the 6th sign virgo in my first house. the sign that rules health. and i was laughing my ass off when gemini64 said she's on a lion diet. i didn't know we can eat lions. i'll have to try that recipe if i can find me a lion 😄

The Lion Diet is one of several types of diets according to my physician in Chicago who does a joint treatment called Prolo therapy. I've gotten this treatment for my knees about 10 times. They recommended I get my blood typed to see which foods my body oxidizes easily. My tests showed that
my body craves the Lion Diet, which is 60% protein, 25% fat, and 15% carbs. It has nothing to do with eating an actual Lion. Here's the link to a site about the book that contains all the diets and info i copied and pasted from the book about Lion Diets.

http://www.hauserdiet.com/index.php/the-hauser-lion-diet-type<BR>
The Hauser Lion Diet Type??
60% PROTEIN / 25% FAT / 15% CARBS

The Lion Diet is a true carnivorous diet which contains the highest amounts of protein and fat of all the Diet Types. It is typically recommended therapeutically for people whose Diet Typing results show abnormalities in both the glucose tolerance test and blood pH.

Two different patterns of glucose tolerance results both need the Lion Diet. A —true?? Lion will be a fast oxidizer of food and have acidic blood pH. The second pattern, which is quite common in overweight America, also has acidic blood pH, but the glucose tolerance test shows a slow oxidizer with high insulin levels (insulin resistance). This person also needs a Lion Diet to regain insulin sensitivity. Thus, the Lion Diet is very high in protein and fat, with a very small amount of carbohydrates. Eating these foods regularly (every 3-4 hours, even including a snack before bed) helps to prevent blood sugar swings, raise blood pH, and lower insulin levels, thus, trying to normalize the Lion??s abnormal physiology.

The other remaining diet types are:

Otter, Bear, Monkey and Giraffe.

wow. thanks for the link. i tell ya. you learn something new on the internet from strangers. i may have to try that someday. but before i do, i need to ask. is it some kind of meat? like what is it like and how does it taste?

is what some kind of meat? you're not actually eating lion meat if that's what you're implying. You're eating real protein like lean beef, chicken breast,
turkey, ham and even some bacon. What about the diet do you not understand? It's all pretty obvious if you read about what i posted.

It comes down to what foods YOUR body oxidizes or metabolizes the easiest. If your body oxidizes protein easiest, you eat more of it. If your
body oxidizes carbs easiest, you eat a bigger percentage of carbs. It's not rocket science. If you do this, then you're body won't crave sugar
because it will be able to maintain an even amount of glucose (sugar in blood) throughout the day and you won't become insulin resistant.

I realized even before the blood test that my body needed more protein. You know how? Every time I eat heavy carbs (pasta, pizza, breads etc.), I get
completely lethargic afterwards and feel like a bloated slug. I know people who eat carbs almost 24/7 and feel great. There is a no one size fits all.
That's the beauty of this diet. It meets your body's requirements and is easy to follow. It's akin to putting the right type of gasoline into your engine.
