Gemini / Cancer Love ?

Is this ever a good combo? I feel they are very fun together and complimentary as friends; but as lovers? Any experience, thoughts, input-thanks!!

I dunno... Verdict is out for me. I'm highly attracted to Gems, and I seem to be a magnet as well. But, Gems may just be too flaky for me 😢

@MoonButter -Gems like the chase, specially of the unsure Cancer that needs to make certain the emotional connection is real. Problem is that once they decide on eachother, Gem needs to really want to stay. I personally find Cancer to be an infatuation that never ends and a thirst that is unquenchable. But that's just me... I love that fizzy water... lol..like sparkling bubbles.

Yes, good analogy. I agree.. I was the one who kept leaving though :/ I think it's a good match Because they are both funny, silly and independent. Also, you can attest to this I'm sure... gems are quite sensitive and crave that emotional closeness even if part of them denies it. anyways, that's what I think 🙂

Yes Libra and Gemini is an excellent match! Libra does balance us out tons! Specially our periodic crazy!!!

Cancer is so fun, spontaneous, exciting, but part of the fun is that they are a little crazy too like Gems and both love the emotional roller coaster! They are also both manipulative, but sometimes I think Cancer beats Gem in that dept. Gem is intellectually manipulative but we mostly have a good heart which means we are easy prey for Cancer who is more so emotionally manipulative.

And Yes MoonButter, Gemini never admits the need for emotional closeness and intimacy but we crave it more than anything. That safe place. It's just hard to put all our cards on the table, cause when we do - we get burned. People expect us to play the game, be detached, carefree, not care, not be emotional or attached. Truth is, I think some Gems are more co-dependent and in more need of nurturing than we admit... Two faces.., our facade is protection. Gemini in the depths is a sad, lonely, tortured soul, who trusts no one because they themselves are not real or trustworthy.., so it's mirroring; are others true intentions real or are they putting on? Like Gemini does? Do they really love you or is it a manipulation to get what they want right now.., I think only Cancer could ever truly understand a Gemini deep down inside. We are very similar.

You are so right! I do sense that tortured soul in Gems even when they act happy. I think that's one of the hardest parts is not being let in even though I can see the light through the crack in the doorway. Dang 😢 I do believe cancers can help Gems if they let us... My good guy friend went through dark phases and I tried to be there for him to give him perspective.

We are so good at the pretend and make-believe that at times even we believe it and forget we are just putting on a good act for everyone. We are people pleasers and no one likes to hang around a wet blanket. But if you ever see a Gem have a meltdown and just cry, it's like a sand castle of glitter crumbling held up by cotton candy. I've had my moments...

We also love the idea of love, of true love, of falling in love ect etc, the guys are no different. We don't like anything real or not pretty because it messes up the illusion of our cotton candy glitter castles... The Crab sees right through Geminis attempts to fake a brave face and helps them face reality in a much more unified manner, hand in hand and not alone...hopefully holding Gemini steadfast in loving pinchers lol

I think in that regard Cancer compliments, because the crab is pragmatic, real, honest, trustworthy and a friend and lover for life... Gemini needs all of those things in their life to turn the dark bright... And the pretty illusion that Gemini lives gives the Crab a hiding place that lets them escape into fiction; the break from reality that they often seek in solitude.

I think the match is entirely understated.

He loves traveling, fitness, good food, all different music, he's so fun. But he's very much my little crab too lol... When I poke him and he's grouchy, I just ask "you wanna talk?", then I let him simmer in his boiling pot until he's ready to tell me what's wrong... We have wonderful communication. It's also a Gemini Cancer bonus... It's an electric and emotional mix, so it's never easy... Your Gemini must learn to put the Crab first... And on some days the Crab needs to hold Gemini as tight as possible with those pinchers no matter how much all the different personalities all squirm lol

Gemini is a much stronger communicator.
Cancer expects you to communicate with them but im finding them more difficult to communicate with.
Sometimes they dont get words or stories are just that, words or stories and take it personally and get their feelings hurt, defensive, or easily insulted.

The signs are like night and day I think cancer is too sensitive and insecure for an individualistic, social gem.

Also gem forgets easily and is very light and fun and cancer is serious...remembers every single little thing for the past 10 years and wont let you forget, its such a dif approach to life.

Nope, you just don't understand the difference. Cancer is a very personal, deep sign we take everything into consideration so frivolous, superficial stuff were not gonna like so much. We are not insecure, just too deep for you so you should stay in the shallow end. 😛

This is real talk right here. I am at peace with my cancer man. He takes all my sadness and loneliness and wraps me up in his love. Gems need that kind of deep, steady, illuminating love and Cancer gets that and gives it to us. I never find my cancer clingy, cancers can stand on their own just fine. I think Gems are so misunderstood but it's not because we are not real or not trustworthy, it's because we feel so much and we are unable to put it all out there for just anyone to peruse. If you have a Gem close friend you will know we are MASTER deflectors. We know more about you always and you know very little about the true us. You only know what we want you to know and despite the hype, Gems are super private. Cancer gets past the walls because Cancer, when they love, love like a tsunami and Gems, once mature, need that type of love. I am certainly digging it. 🙂

I'm not sure either why it gets such a bad rap. I am a first decan Gemini and although I have a Gem moon as well, I am a super-steady Gem - heavy Taurus influence. My crab has a Pisces moon and we both have Venus in Taurus. He has Mars in Virgo and my mars is in Aquarius. He is my soul lover and it is the easiest relationship I have ever been with, no games, just love. We are both over 45 so maturity probably has a lot to do with it or maybe I was just, finally, blessed with a beautiful man. I dunno but I feel so happy, so safe, so sexy and so secure with him that I hope those that say 'never ever' for a Gem/Cancer combo, will give it a chance.

She wants to work on herself, and doesn't want marriage, while he wants kids and family. She doesn't want to make an exception, and he doesn't want too. So, it can be nice, but the big differences shows over time, and that is when Gem knows that it was a wrong choice. Their goals are not the same...

Gemini's can be insecure. Not usually clingy though but we want the reassurance. Once we trust someone though usually we let them be free cause we like our space.

I know a gemini woman/cancer man couple. They've been married a long time. Just like every couple, they've had their ups and downs but they seem pretty happy overall.

can you explain more about this deflecting thing?! It seems quite true...i cant get my gem to open up he always deflects and gaslights and makes things my fault....why?!

Ahhhh, the emotionally manipulative Cancer, and the intellectually manipulative Gemini. I think you put it well @GemiGirl78 when you spoke about the fun these two signs have together. I've only had one Gem lover to speak of, but it wasn't one of the two long-term relationships I have on my resume. It lasted about three months, and was highly sexual. There was some baby-daddy drama there though and I was on the rebound so there wasn't much ground for this thing to take off. She was a lot of fun though, and I think with better timing, things could have got serious.

I don't like the "extra" drama that comes with cancers. Friends, sure. Fun people. But gezzus, nearly every single cancer I know has something in the background they is drama ridden.

I like it though. I had the hots for this one Scorpio in high school, and I could have sworn her sister was an aqua. She's a cancer and my God, she is smoking. But that's all I see. I got to be stimulated by the mind as well and she could never do that.
