I don't get it

Im trying to understand this Gem guy. Right now we're simply friends. We tried to be more for a little bit but then he ended up moving towns and things were not smooth before that even so friends it is.

Long story short, I felt myself falling for him, he spoke of commitment but never actually took action, communication is like once a week and I mentioned to him a few times how much this hurts me and I decided this wasn't OK. I'm all or nothing and he's down in the nothing category. While I still like him I don't love him at all anymore. I tried to cut him off once already but he asked me to stay. So I did, but nothing has changed.. He's super sweet and just a fun, super hot guy I can't deny the sexual attraction but after that what is there? I'm not a casual dating kind of person.. I need attention, I need to feel wanted. Not too much but just enough you know?

So now, my ex has returned and I told him. I'm still single right now of course, but I see he's now acting like he's been sleeping this whole time and its almost as if he just woke up. Which makes no sense to me since I have no evidence that lately he cared about me. Literally I might get a hello how are you, I answer, next week he'll be like hey how's it going? Repeat. That's been our conversations lately... All of a sudden he's talking everyday, telling me how special and how much I mean to him how much he doesn't want to lose me etc etc... I mean I can tell he's sincere but I don't understand why now?

Why is he so confusing..I mean how do I know he won't just turn around and put me last in life again like I have been for the past months? He talks about marriage and babies yeah, about how I make him feel you know all that stuff. How me with another guy would crush him because he's trying so hard... But he's not though... His Venus is in Gemini too.

If I'm being vulnerable and telling you my intimate thoughts/feelings, it took me a lot of courage to do. I just don't go around being vulnerable and giving up my innermost thoughts/feelings.....

The only thing that article got right about me is, yes, I do have a childlike curiosity, but that's not going to make me jump from guy to guy. Also, I am attracted to intelligence.

Yeah I read that article when I first found out his Venus lol. He's the one who came after me and yeah he was talking non stop, then when he gives me once a week conversations and I get pissed then he tries again.. I was skeptical talking to a Venus in Gemini because I wasn't sure what to expect not because I think it's a bad placement. I understand the need for stimulation and conversation and getting bored easily Mercury is my most dominant planet and my Mars is in the 3rd house.

My thing with him is why doesn't he want me to leave when he doesn't make any effort? What's the point?

I think his moon is in Aqua and Mercury in Cancer
My moon is Libra and mercury Scorpio also Venus in Scorpio

Example, like when he text you hi or how are you, how did you responded to that?

I try to talk as normal and cover as much as i can because who knows when il hear from him again
