hmm im not sure how to explain it, i go to a gym, so the machines for abs there. Theres on where you kneel and twist your torso, i do that. I usually go during the mid afternoon like 2pm, and i usually eat around 1pm. im not sure if i should wait longer before i go to the gym after i have eaten? i usually drink alot of water when i am at the gym too. i just started going to the gym during the day, i used to go at night like 8:00pm-9:30pm and i never felt sick after work outs.. lately its been bad, where i can only tolerate going to the gym for 30 mins instead of an hour and a half

Are you breathing? Everything you describes sounds like you're holding your breath. Your BP may be rising which is causing all these symptoms.

You'd have to give me more of a detailed work out, but you might want to go to the doc to see if everything else checks out. But knowing what you do for your work out could help determine why you feel like you do.

How much cardio are you doing?

Yeah. Do you do a warm up?

The breathing suggestion is a good one.

Also try consuming more protein.

My favorite ab workout is plan sit ups and leg lifts while suspended.
I also recommend you do backwards sit ups to streghten your back.

Water, protein, breath and warm up.
I'd hope it's a good suggestion, seeing as how I actually have a formal education on this stuff.

She does not need more protein unless she's on a diet that lacks in protein- ex: vegetarian/vegan. The average person gets more than enough protein in their diets, despite this stupid ass craze drummed up by the supplement industry. Congrats, you're brainwashed.

There are other, safer ways to strengthen the back. "Backwards sit ups" shouldn't be attempted until there's actual core strength established.

All that aside, I ask the questions that I ask because there could be underlying issues such as blood pressure, anything related to the heart, etc. I asked about the breathing because people can hold their breaths without realizing it and it causes an elevated blood pressure.

Look up valsalva maneuver.

Nice.

Assuming this person is healthy, I'm a fan of core strengthening before focusing on other body parts.

The protein fad falls into the theory of rebuilding muscles after.

What are your thoughts on carbs?

carbs>protein. ESPECIALLY when you're active. Your body goes after carb stores for energy first, then fat, then protein.

The "theory" in regard to protein and muscle rebuilding is that the muscles take what they need and get rid of the rest. The window in which they do this is estimated to be within a half hour to a few hours post work out. So people who drink those shakes like water, thinking it means bigger muscles are idiots.

You're basically peeing away all those $ 50 tubs of protein, when a simple chicken breast or steak would satisfy almost everyone's needed protein intake.

As usual, our disgusting society does things in excess.
