I've been taking the BC Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for 3 months now.
A few days ago I got a yeast infection. I've only had 2 other yeast infections one from summertime heat and wearing tight pants and the other was from a condom. This one I'm pretty sure is from my birth control.
I'm doing my normal homeopathic yogurt remedy and it seems to be working, but if I take a probiotic will that help prevent more yeast infections? I don't want to stop my birth control because I get horrible cramps. But would a probiotic or maybe a higher dose of birth control help?
...or just change the type of birth control all together. There are far more options than just ortho tricyclen lo.
I'd suggest nuvaring, but I don't think it'd help since your lady bits seem to get agitated easily.
You also may want to consider figuring out why you're so prone to yeast infections so easily. There could be other issues, like washing down there with regular soap, the type of panties that you wear, etc.
