Are Gemini's compatible with Leos?

Yep, that my question. I'm a female gemini, and I want to know if I'm compatible with a male Leo. Some horoscopes say that I am and others say that I"m not, so it leaves me a little confused. lol
Anyways, I am interested in someone who is a leo, but I'm not sure if it's a good matching or not. I do know that leos can have big hearts as well as egos. I don't get ruffled though too easily by too many things, I'm a pretty easy going person by nature. I just don't want to get hurt in a relationship, and I don't want to be with a person who is controlling. I need my freedom and space. Well anyways there ya go. 🙂

Most books I've read say that Leo and Gemini are compatible. Both are described as outgoing, love socializing and BOTH require freedom and space. And yeah, Leo is a dominant sign.

How much of this actually applies to the two of you is anyones guess. There are other placements to consider for compatibility (moon, merc, venus, mars etc..)

Get to know him and find out what you like and don't before becoming serious. 🙂

So are the horoscopes just a generalized overview of a person's personality, and everyone can be a little different than that as well? Some of the things that it said about my Gemini personality was not exactly quite right. It said that we tend to be liars,etc. Which in my case is definitely not true. I am a pretty honest person. So, yep this Leo guy is one hot tamale, but I'm just going to be cautious, and see what happens. Do you think he might make the first move?

The Gems I have met are usually direct with people, blunt. But I can see how some can be good liars since Gemini rules communication and some have a way with words. To say all Gems are liars is lame. People lie.

As far as him making the first move, I don't know because I don't know him. BUT, leo is a pretty aggressive sign and is known to go after the people/things that they want generally. I'm leo female and I have made the first move. So who knows. Let us know how it works out for you. 🙂

whatsup, regardless of what you have read about the match, I think the signs are compatible. I just plain understand Geminis; it's that simple. But I think the understanding is mutual in a lot of ways. I always feel comfortable around them. Whenever I meet one it's like we must have already known each other. Conversations between Geminis and myself, I usually find to be THE MOST INTERESTING (to me personally). And there are a lot of things I love about Gems. I can deal with most of the negative things that maybe some other people couldn't handle. I'm not saying this is a "perfect match", but I think it has a LOT of potential.

Yes, not one person has the same personality has another regardless of sign. Please don't say you will never ever be friends or be with someone because of a certain sign, not everyone is exactly the same. This is true, just because by astrology standards I happen to be born under the sign of Gemini does not make me a bad person or the same as every single Gem you have ever met. No one person is exactly the same. To be honest I really don't belive in astrology anymore, I think that everyone has different personalities becasue everyone is different not because of astrological signs, etc. and sometime people use their sign as an excuse for the way they act or are. It's not right. In your case you not wanting a relationship with man if he is a Gemini or a friend because they are Gemini is not a good idea, you are limiting yourself from people that could become good friends or a guy that could be good for you. Just something to think about.

My experience with the Geminis I've encountered is that I'm not ever quite sure where they're coming from. Almost seems as if they have a hidden agenda. I'm a very straightforward person, like to lay my cards on the table. Dealing with someone who doesn't is very difficult for me.

if you dont want someone who is controlling then i say you shouldnt go with a leo. we just have to have our way and we have to control everything..

As a leo whos dated/been interested in many a gemini i think that the two are very compatible....lets just say gemini loves to talk and so does leo..and anyone who stimulates interesting conversation and keeps a leo engaged is worthwhile to them. yes leos have a bit of an ego, but i've found that, that is partly to do with an insecurity most leos have...they tend to have this underlying desire (that is if restrained is still there) to dominate...but in order to dominate any good king or queen needs the support of the people and so they tend to care alot about what people think. they tend to have high expectations for themselves and feel the need to sometimes be reassured. all else aside though gemini's double prsonality(the twins) keeps the lion constantly on his/her toes...and vice versa..they just don't get bored of eachother. both are very playful signs.
however be weary of not accepting ideas that leo may have opposing to yours..both signs can sometimes be very stubborn in their convictions and so you'll have to work hard to not hurt eachother. just always be willing to accept that many big issues are subjective..and to disagree but always politely.

and ps. if you ever get tired of having to reassure your leo of the little things, keep in mind that it's just one of the leo flaws and that most of the time we'll hopefully have better aspects of our character which overshadows this need for attention and approval..in many ways a leo is a little child wanting approval from the closed most cherished people to them like their parents..they just want to know they're loved beyond all else no exceptions. so tell a leo you're glad shes around or that shes beautiful (only sinciere complimnets though-believe me we know the difference)it's a small price to pay for the fun,loyal,loving package you're getting.

hi, i'm a male leo . i just wanted to throw in my two cents, rather late .

i have been very interested in a gemini woman for the last four years of my life . we had discussed the possibility of getting together . i'd met her family, i'd spend holidays with her, but for some reason or another (read: i was a chickenshit), nothing ever developed . during the recent period of mercury retrograde, i asked my girlfriend to "release" me to see if there was anything going on with this girl . without going into too much detail, she ended up tap dancing repeatedly on my heart while she attempted to go back to a guy that probably treats dirty dishrags better than he treats women, including her .

she says that she's very up front with me, but she isn't .

at any rate, my advice is to just keep an open line of communication with this leo; observe him first to see whether he has been able to transcend his sign or if he falls into the same traps most of us leo men are prone to: egotism and a penchant for luxury . lots of luck; i wish you well .

Leo's are spectacular..... I'm with ya Wheelhomies.. i usually get along great with Leo's. they are so quick witted and their ego's are so attractive because they like to play with it.. and the competitions.. I don't know.. there is usually just alot in common with us. Alot of fun. I haven't had anything long term with one.. But i'd love to experience that.
