Do any of you have a Scorpio parent?

What were the difficult parts of dealing with them?

What were the bonuses?

my stepmom is a scorpio and we cant get along 85% of the time. Ive learned to just keep my mouth shut around them and just agree to everything they say because they are very sensitive and emotional.

Not only do I have a Scorpio mother, and Father (Scorp/Sag) but I have 2 scorp uncles, and 2 scorp aunts...

I like it personally but I am so used to it I don't know anything else. I am really close to my mother and we have a pretty great relationship.

Granted I am not a leo, I am a pisces so I would imagine it would be a bit easier for me.

The most difficult part of dealing with them, would be if you can accept them for the stubborn clusterfucks they are. You can fight tooth and nail, but in the end its best you either do what they say or do your own thing quietly.

A good bonus is that you will have a parent that care about your practical well being, and will help you achieve pursuits that will make you successful.

It is directed at Leo's... But anyone can answer. You never know what might come in handy.

My mother is a Scorpio Sun, and it was incredibly difficult for the better part of my growing up.

My experience of her involved emotional bulldozing, dismissal, condescension, controlling, overprotectiveness to the point of smothering and social alienation... I ran the full gamut of Scorpio stings.

In general I really like and respect Scorpios, and I have a much better relationship with her now. I fought to be accepted for who I am and after a lot of dogged determination and time, she finally did. I can recognize now that it helped to make me stronger, but much of the damage I had to repair myself.

It was a bittersweet experience really. She's now my biggest supporter, caregiver, nurturer... but for the longest time it felt as though she was my biggest bully, and I her favorite target.

I might be having a Leo baby... I'm trying to get an awareness of how I may come across to a Leo child and how to make them feel good and what to avoid.

Well I give my mum all the credit for encouraging me to be independent, to think for and take care of myself, to have strong boundaries and never take any crap from anyone. She also enforced how important family and friends are, and to keep them close.

I think how your potential Leo will respond to you is also strongly dependent on their Moon sign. I found that with a Scorp Moon I could understand my mum but she had difficulty understanding and dealing with me. How she expresses herself is how I feel inside, but it stayed inside too.

On the outside I was infuriatingly optimistic, impulsive and stubborn and extremely emotional and sensitive. And although she taught me to be independent and think for myself, as a hugely protective mama bear she didn't like when I actually did 😆

She was really smart and well-rounded sparked my interest in all sorts of subjects like archaeology, history, reading anything and everything. We grated on each other for a long time, but I wouldn't trade my experiences for anything, because it led to the strong relationship we have now 🙂

Honestly the fact that you are making yourself that self-aware and sensitive and considerate, your child is going to be lucky regardless of their chart. I think that's probably the best thing you could give them; understanding and the desire to understand.
