Friends ... vs Best Friends

This appealed to me, for some reason 🙂

For one thing, it emphasized the uselessness of acquaintances

for anything other than.... ok, I got nothing-- maybe business, but

still.... if we're going to lunch, you're likely going to be my friend o.O









Do any of you other LEOs have these acquaintance-type friends, that

you keep at the acquaintance-friend level?

Or any sign, for that matter-- what about you?

Yes! I get to meet a lot of people owing to my career choices.N I can't help but make a lottt of friends(gem rising). I'm all this sweet friend with all of those.Make a couple of good friends in every class n many other acquaintances.But that's it.My bffs are a whole different thing.They've been my friends since 7-8 years.The comparison is just laughable.

i would count them both as friends. 1 was just probably a libra while the other an aries.

The whole definition of friendship is fucked up, when it comes th western cultures, like USA. That's my humble observation.

This may be a great point, but tbh I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

I have lots of acquaintances, some closer than others. I have no "friends" of the type that I do stuff with. I have some friends that I've had since college, but we all live in different states and only connect on Facebook once in a while.

But when we have gotten together, it's like we were never apart.

I'm fine without friends; costs less (no going out), and no second guessing motives.

Yeah, I'm slightly antisocial in my private life.

Hmm... must be my dreary little moon.

No acquaintance kind of friends.

I require intensity in my relationships.

At my former work place, I was nicknamed the black widow because I didn't have time for shit niceties.
