Need Leo Advice on Aries

They say that Leo is really the evolved Cancer so I am wondering while Leos and Cancers seem to be very similar to each other emotionally and understand each others roles why are you guys so much better at dealing with Aries than Cancer's are?

My wife's mother is a Leo and her and I get along great.She is a typical Leo and likes the spotlight yet it doesn't bother me. I have dated Leo women who don't mind giving me my time to shine, but with Aries it seems to be they want 100 percent domination over you. I like a dominant woman, but 100 percent domination can grow weary at times.

Anyways, my wife seems to constantly challenge my opinion on things even if they don't challenge her way of thinking yet she seems to let her Leo mother express her opinion without the same level of aggression like they have a secret understanding. My wife is a very loyal person and I feel secure with her yet the aggression can sometimes put me in a foul mood. I am known to be aggressive too so its not like its just her. I am a cardinal sign afterall.

My question is their a certain way to approach an Aries and express your opinion without it turning into a flat out battle. I feel that I sometimes cause it but its not really intentional and I just don't want to walk into land mine if I don't have too.

Its known fact that Aries likes to win an argument but I would rather my wife keep her Aries fire out in the world and those fires be died down once she gets home. So now ask my Leo friends their opinion 🙂

You are going to have to stand up and stand up right. She wants you to. Just do it rightly and justly. We secretly like to be dominated, we like to be challenged.

Please whatever you do, don't act or be scared.

Leos and Aries are very similar, in the way that cancer and pisces are. I believe the one thing that makes Leos and Aries different, is control. When i say control, i mean being able to control their dominant traits. I grew up with aries people and the one thing i noticed from them is that they are TOO dominant and i see they sometimes have no control as where us Leos know when to stop it. Also yes, leos are a bit more tuned in to the emotions of others, after all, leos is the sign of romance, and i think thats why Leos and Cancers do great in relationships.

As for aries and cancers. I feel that aries are just too much for the sensitive cancer. Its going to take some tough skin for a cancer to be able to put up with an aries, male or female alike. Like

but of course,, this is just from my experiences and observations.. there are plenty of wonderful aries on here who can assist you as well.

Growing up with an Aries father was trying at times but he loved/hated my sass mouth.

My Venus is in Leo and hers is in Aries so we get along in the romance department pretty well. However I can really tell when my Cancer sun is clashing with her Aries sun.

I know deep down she likes challenges and I will take her on if I really think I am rig but she has a Virgo Moon and that side of her comes out heavily if I tried to argue too roughly with her or if I offended her deep down. At that point I am trying to win her Virgo Moon back over which is a very hard thing to do.

I have a Pisces moon which probably makes me think outside the box too much and is probably annoying to anyone who is very logical. I just know not everyone uses logic so make decisions so you can't act like that is the end all be all of an argument.

Haha... on a serious note, I'm curious as to why you aren't on the Aries thread...

But I can help you seeing as I'm an Aries woman that has been in a relationship with a Cancer man. And to boot I've read up on the duo. There has to be a lot of patience and understanding when it comes to this match.

The biggest question I have for you is... have you told her this?

The reason why fire and fire signs (Leo/Sag/Aries) is that they are very upfront with each other and they are not afraid to be direct whereas a lot of water signs like to play the passive aggressive cards. Which can honestly fly past an Arians head. It's not that we're dense it's just that we're insensitive to anyone else's feelings but our own. We are the baby of the zodiac for a reason, we are very self-centered and self-absorbed on the dark side. On the light side when we give you our love we give you our all.

So it might behoove you to communicate this to her upfront and not dance around it. But I agree with Jynja on this. Understanding your differences and similarities is key.

IME the biggest difference between a Leo man and Cancer man is that a Leo man will be direct and spell everything out if he has to... haha I guess we are a little dense 😛. Aries we love honesty. As for a Cancer man with his changing mood swings and passive aggressive ways it can be really difficult for an Aries to follow and read the signs and intuitively understand what it is you want even if we try. Don't forget we have a lot of pride too so mix that in and you have a recipe for disaster.

Thats me, Aries sun Virgo moon... Have you tried to talk to her, deep down she's an emotional person.... You gotta tap into that side of her and bring up her aggressiveness in a direct manner, tell her you would like it not directed at you. She will listen and try to calm the fire alittle. I dated a Cancer, it was hard for him to deal with my fire also. I have a Leo now who is a Cusp, so he has that Cancer side to his Leo. Thankfully he's way more Leo. Try to tap into your moon more, read up on Aries women, there is way more to us than meets the eye, and like I said deep down we have an emotional side.
