THAT made it "safe" to mail you back. Leebs so often want to remain friends/friendly with their exes. No, it doesn't mean he wants you back, it means he's pleased that you two can be on friendly terms.

Shocked he answered at all, or shocked he didn't ignore you or play the waiting game? Leebs ALSO like manners.. they dislike being/seeming rude. I've noticed that people most often judge another's motives and intentions, based on what they themselves would do, what they would mean or want by saying or doing certain things. So from these posts, I infer that you think too much, read into situations, play the waiting game, and say things you don't actually mean, have inappropriate convos behind your bf/gf's back.. cuz that's what you expect HIM to be up to.

YOU brought up that restaurant. And he remembered that he'd tipped $ 100 so you two didn't have to wait.. probably was the Curious Libra.. wondered exactly how much time DID he save for that Benjamin he slipped the ma?tre d'? You mentioned THAT restaurant to get a reaction.. what did you want him to say about it? That he remembered how amazing and romantic it was? Remembered laughing and kissing you? It's inappropriate to romantically reminisce with an ex, when you're in a relationship (Leebs might THINK about it in their minds, but to engage in conversation about it behind their woman's back? Some do, but ALL know it's wrong!)... YOUR convo to him was pretty leading and inappropriate for two TAKEN people.. HE steered it back to neutral territory, but kept it friendly.

"He said things were messed up for him since we met but they were getting back to normal."
Yes, getting back to normal. They broke up over problems before, now they're getting better. And he doesn't have to feel bad or guilty about being back with his ex anymore.. you're with a new guy. So - now you can be friends, hopefully without drama.

"He told me he was glad I was happy."
He is. Just cuz YOU'RE not actually happy that he's doing better with the ex he went back to after you (EGO).. HE'S still happy for you.

P.S. Libras think about EVERYTHING! (Think about NASCAR.. that's a Libra mind.. thoughts racing, circling, sometimes crashing and burning.) It's cerebral exercise for them. I guarantee he will ask EVERYONE how long they waited at that restaurant, for months or years. HE tipped to not wait.. he'll always wonder if the "investment" was worth it, and will take everyone's answers to come up with an average... did he save 10 minutes? 20? A half hour? Purely a mental exercise.

He was just being nice to you...

Nope, sweetie.. I'm a Pisces who has a pretty good grasp of the Libran (esp the textbook Libra man I love and live with) - I understand and accept the Libran traits. Most of them don't seem strange or vexing to me. Granted, I have several minor Libra planets (and a rather nice natal chart, imho).. But I'm also mature, well-balanced, grounded, sweet and affectionate but not overly-emotional or needy. I also don't play stupid games of any kind, and hold myself responsible and accountable for my own emotional well-being. So my Libra likes me too *wink*

A lot of that probably comes because I'm an old lady haha. (I've dated at least two other Libras pretty seriously, but mutual immaturity DOES wreak havoc on relationships.) But my Libra was born the same year as I was.. so he's had time to mature and mellow from the "young and immature" Libra into the "mature and awesome" Libra.

I'm a lucky, lucky girl.. almost as lucky as he is 😉
