The truth
What if the truth is you aren't happy you have no backup plan well you have one but it isn't stable but still it is the only thing that makes sense.

My optimism. Faith in myself that I have the power to turn any situation around and make it better.
Ok so I ace a degree in business because I switched from music in college because my vocal cords got damaged and being out on vocal rest put me way behind on graduating so I just switched majors and there wet a lot of other reasons but those were the main ones, but now I do some performing on the side of my full time admin job and I love the company I work for I think they are great and put out a lot of great work, but I'd rather be sing/acting or event planning full time but I am a mom so I need something steady I have no family here or I think I could already be dominating but I've been in Connecticut 3 year in January and I still feel like I am trapped career wise it is very frustrating.
Posted by cheekyfaerieI guess my fear is if I chase this will I put myself and my son in a bad situation financially later on. Especially since a lot of jobs that pop up for acting tend to be last minute and I don't have a cheap and trust worthy and easily accessible (distance wise) baby sitter here yet.
So keep the bread n butter and do the other stuff on the side. See if you can build it up enough to make the transition.

yes to everything that @cheekyfaerie said OP - you have to take care of business first - and yes you should have a fear of being irresponsible at any given time when you are raising a child - that is why you have stability and need a paycheck job ... you can congratulate yourself on that part for sure
stay in the present - it is what it is right now this second, this day, this week, and your child is your first responsibility while your extracurricular activities for the future can be formed outside of your paycheck job - continue to work towards something so your mind is busy ... just one step at a time - hello ? babysitter first ...
maybe there is something related to the business you can do after hours and still spend time with your child - explore, explore, explore but stay focused also on the most important thing first - you, your child, and being a stable and loving parent
