I have to agree with elle. I do understand how you feel she is using this as an opportunity to get off work and get sympathy from her friends and coworkers. That unfortunately is how life is sometimes.
Some people do the "right" thing for all the "wrong" reasons. Sometimes, what was started with selfish intent can turn into something genuine. Just like volunteering just to enhance your resume and then becoming attached too and actually caring about the people you are helping. This happens more than people realize.
Pray about it and do what you can for your grandfather. He knows you love him. I agree with ell 100% on this.
If you were sick and alone, trust me, a friendly face to look at is always better than no one, even if its a stranger. Love your grandpa enough to make his last days as pleasant as possible.
Sorry, I just got off work and I'm half sleep lmao.
What I was trying to say is that yes initially she probably had selfish reasons to visit your grandfather but may have grown attached to him in the short time she has been spending with him and actually now genuinely cares for him. I think that's the case.
