can anyone offer me any insight please?

okay last week this guy said he liked me and asked if i wouldd go on a date with him infront of a group of people. i didnt know if he was serious or not so i didnt really say anything and after a while he stopped asking and said 'ok ill stop before she gets angry'....

now he's acting like nothing ever happened....he still talks and teases and everything...but still he acts like he never asked me.....so my friend talked to him...she asked him if you and sarah (me) are going on a date and he says idk when..and she said that hewould talk to me about it and he hasnt/.. for example i saw him that day after school and he said nothing but hey sarah barah! and kept walking...then ANOTHER THING/// we were sitting next to each other practically all period and he never said anything about it...or barely talked to me at all (he asked help with something on the computer so i tried to show him with my hand where to go and he leaned away from me alittle bit??..))...ALTHOUGH one day this week his friend did tease me and him he wrote a note that said sarah+ drew and when i asked him why heworte it hesaid ' you and drew are in love" and pretty much drew (the guy that asked me out) played along with it....so im confused...

why would he tell my friend he''d talk to me about it and he hasnt said anything to me...second..why is he acting like nothing ever happened prettymuch? i'd really appreciate insight...

Theres two sides to every story but the guy in question cannot tell is, it could be a head f..k situation. All can say is if its upsetting you then there is no point asking why just bale out for your own sake. Peace!

I believe he meant it or why would he have even said it at all...but here's the background info.

we had a group project to do and he happened to be in my group..we were all just sitting around talking ...I said something and everyone started laughing bt it wasn't even funny to me. I'm the the of person that'll say something and everyone will start laughing..they say I'm just naturally funny and cool to be around....then he continued to say I'm the only girl that makes him laugh hard then I said why does everyone laugh at what I say when I dont even think its funny? he replyed with ' your just being yourself and I respect that...


..a while later we changed the topic and he made a comment saying some girl Brooklyn something...was pretty...she s a celebrity.
drew...I think Brooklyn whatever is so pretty
me...is she white?
drew..yeah she is...
me..drew do you like white girls..?
drew...he starts smiling puts his head down and says yeah..(he looked like he was thinking about saying something else...it took Him a while to say it..) so he continued ' I like any type of people' then he looked up at me directly with a serious face and said ' Sarah, I like you, would you go out on a date with me? "

so that's how all this came about...my friends say it was obvious he was going to ask me after he said ' I like any type of people ' but I wasn't paying attention....does the way he asked sound like he was serious?

so my question is...how do I fix this...I DO want to go out w/ him

him....:he hesitated a longgg time and was looking down smiling then looked back up and said yeah, then he looked me straight in the face and said sam, i like you. would you go on a date with me?
me: i hesitated because i wasnt sure if he was serious or not...the next day he doesnt say anything about it and acts completely normal.
