I tell you what how I overcame the anxiety. First Id think of a million other things while i was in line to get on the ride. Then instead of bracing myself and squeezing the living piss out of the safety bar and clenching my ass and teeth, i instead took a page from when I played football and just get in a rage as the ride was going down the crazy turns and height....the rage gave me adrenaline and made me feel in control.
I dont get on the rides where the legs hang and dangle, i dont like them cause I feel like my hip bone is going to dislocate. But i fear most coasters no longer.
Cause there is nothing like having a date with a super hot Leo chick who loves roller coasters and you sending them on the ride with your friend cause you are afraid. True story.
