I'm terrible at sending out the right vibes when interacting with people for the first time, mainly because I don't use my humor, which is one of my best assets I think. Basically I'm not me when making first impressions.

I don't think humor is the best way to make a first impression because being strangers it makes it very easy to misintepret and misunderstand eachother, especially if you're not on the same level. Your sense of humour can really say everything about you. On the other hand, I hate always being the SERIOUS new acquaintance, maybe a little on the strange side. Great, I'm one of those humorless "he was such a nice and quiet man" weirdos...

I try not to judge people on face value. Hits is hard not to, everyone is guilty of falling into the trap. I do not like beening around friends when their slagging off other people. I would rather give that person a chance then decide if their cool or not.

I guess I seem friendly because I smile easily. It might be more of a lighter first step than humor, which people might misinterpret, as you said, or maybe take as a form of aggression. I think smiling at least shows that you're acknowledging other people and being receptive to them. I also heard, though, that smiling is actually a sign of weakness...something like people who smile less are more often ones who rise to positions of authority.

Also, I knew someone who didn't seem to have different gradations to their smile, if that makes sense. They went from normal face straight to highbeams, and I have to say it was kind of scary to me! As long as you don't do this maniac-mask kind of thing, then it might help some.

People think I am a hard nosed bitch at first, if I had a penny for every time someone said

"OMG I HATED you at first, but you are really nice!!!!!"

Id be rich... seriously. =/

I have NO doubt in my mind that MOST people at my new job think I am intimidating and rude... the looks I get makes me laugh... I wanna change that perception, because I love people... but I just dont know how... Im too busy to be trying to make friends during work hours... they need to see me after a few drinks 😉

Same. Except the loving people part.

I'm also with the OP on humour. Very dark humour puts only a select few signs at ease (aries, leo, aquas).

I find most people are put off by my eye contact. When I decide to look at you I LOOK at you.

It's funny though because it's when I'm not actually looking at a person that I'm learning about them while when I AM looking as intently as I am all it is is me keeping my mind a perfect blank.

I guess not being able to see your soul puts people off. Mua-ha...

Depends on my mood.

If I'm on a night out most people probably think I have a screw loose, but that I'm a happy friendly sort if a little crazy.

I have been told in the past I look a bit stuck-up, but then I open my mouth and that's out the window.

DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN BY A PRICK T SHIRT?

Just buy a white t-shirt and a permanent marker and ask a kindergartener to write 'I AM A PRICK' on it.
Trust me, everyone will ask you where you bought it.

LMAO!!!

In this economy, gotta put the kindergartners to work.

Since my ascendant is 3 degrees in leo would I still have cancer rising traits or would this only work if it were in between 1-0?

I went reading around and I think I do have some.
