Glorified Sex
We live in a patriarchal society, and men are biologically programmed to conquer...they are driven by sex.
Stds... They arent just out there... They are among us and of course it's reasonable to be tight lipped about your personal health and ailments, but secretive? Fostering invincibility complexes? Staying ignorant? Or worse... Being stupid!
And yes sex sells...
Recent commercials of note... Hot Pockets and Go Daddy.
Im not really saying i think it is wrong, but I do think we are over the top with it.
I suppose this is in our nature.
Sex isnt used to sell everything, but if ad agencies did I wonder what they'd come up with for things like makeup, healthcare, shoes, electronics, hardwood flooring, i know your wheels are spinning as you're reading this, bathroom cleaner, tissue... Etc.
Our imaginations run rampant so easily and at least with sex, we're all pretty much thinking the same thing. I guess it's an easy target.
