Fuck I really liked this movie lol I cried and I didn't hold back this movie has so much going for it, I haven't seen the musical and I call myself a sondheim fan...

Ive watched it twice now, the first time I watched it I couldn't finish it, I don't know if it was because I was stoned or because of the fairy tale bullshit and them singing "into the woods" a lot in the beginning that I didn't quite catch on.

It was only till last night I watched it at the movies with a thespian friend did I watch it to the end and I knew not to take it literally and to open my ears and really listen to what they were singing about and it blew me away, like I said I cried lol

yes the actors were great but they are only minuscule to the musical itself, the musical.

You know those books "Pride and Prejudice with zombies" or you've read penguins "twitterature" where stories are delivered easily.......well this is what this movie is like . But the story is about the consequences of life.

it was incredible and i will be obsessed for a while.

into the woods is better but I do love sweeny todd, theres real life lessons in Into the Woods things that I've found it hard to talk about because theres no dialogue and here in a movie its blatantly sung and its amazing.

movie wise I like the macabre style of Sweeny todd and old london, Into the woods is beautifully shot but I'm not big on fairy tales unless theres a twist.

I just finished watching into the woods on broadway.

I'm glad you watched the theatrical version first its really good isn't it?.....which version did you watch though?? I saw a version on youtube with Vanessa Williams playing the witch..

the affair does happen in the movie...

In the theatre version the wolf actually has a dick and balls to signify he's pheadophile, its really uncomfortable seeing him doing that number with little red
