Libra Mercury/Aquarius Midheaven

I'm currently studying in law school and about to graduate in two months but this is not really what I'm most passionate about. Being the smart kid in a family where the father's a lawyer, I have accepted my fate as a future lawyer. However, having my Midheaven in Aquarius, this seems to be a wrong career move. I want to have a job that has something to do with the society. And perhaps, having the society in mind was what really induced me to take up law. After almost four years of my curiosity, I realized that law has almost nothing to do with society. Good thing, I didn't quit because I might miss out on so many opportunities.

But lol I want something I could play with, a job that will keep me interested until I retire. I am Libra Mercury with Aquarius Midheaven. I want something to do with the arts, which at the same time, will contribute to the society's development. I'm thinking about working in the Tourism Department of the government. This seems to be where my Libra Mercury and Aquarius Midheaven will collide.

I need suggestions though. I don't want to make another wrong career move. Thanks to anyone who could lend a help. 🙂

I am most interested in contributing something to the region and province I grew up from: Bicol. We are the 2nd poorest region in the entire Philippines, a 3rd world country. I want to be able to uplift the economy of the region somehow. I see that in Tourism Industry, especially since we do have many tourist attractions that are however still largely unknown.

I actually want a resort or a souvenir shop... lol... casino is a no-no.

Choosing a career is more than just looking at your tenth house and mercury sign. What are you passionate about? What is your soul's desire in this life? What are your talents? These things you can pull from a chart, but you need to analyze the overall chart and with a bit of spiritual intuition, you can figure it out. My brother is a mix of Aquarius, Libra and Pisces. He is a lawyer. He has "rare" ideas to solve cases. His existence is much better for the others than for himself. His job and his life is to take every opportunity to help and lead others. He's somewhat of a genius, he administers the computer programs of his company.

He married a Libra woman and that made him even poorer (money wise) than he was. Maybe they have learned meanwhile to manage his money better. I don't know. I don't ask.

Bunny, You should also check your SN and NN. Which kind of strength does your SN give you? If I had your doubts and SN in Gemini, I would go for building that resort. With SN in Sag I would become the lawyer.

Then I want to become a "consultant" of the tourism department and the department of tourism and industry of the government.

I will still litigate though. My friend wants to put up a law firm with me and another friend. I will only handle corporate, civil and tax cases. I don't want criminal cases! Lol.

Reasons why I want to put up businesses:

1. Bicol Region, my home region, is one of the poorest regions in the nation. I want to see it prosper. I initially wanted to be a politician but since politics is dirty and you have to go kissing-ass for most of the time, I realized it's not for me.
2. Business spurs creativity and serves the needs of the community whereas lawyering serves only the needs of particular individuals.
3. I notice that successful businessmen are richer than lawyers (lol).

Incidentally, I find leadership roles quite hard to play though... @_@

Saturn is at 15 degrees Sagittarius. I don't know where my Lilith is.

As an NN Aries/SN Libra, I find it hard to find balance between being assertive and diplomatic. I have problems re leadership roles too but I'm always willing to sacrifice. I tend to really do badly at delegating matters but a few of my projects turned out to be successful. Regardless, I like being the leader. It's always a challenge though to me, especially with regard to matters involving URGENCIES. @_@
