When you look around it certainly seems that way.
People have little respect for one another also.
You see it when you're driving and they cut in front of you
to make a turn or pass you to get to the light first.
At the store when they want to get ahead of you in line
because they are in a hurry like you're not.
Leave their trash and garbage everywhere because someone
else can clean it up especially when they leave dirty diapers in the parking lot or empty their cigarette butts
then drive away.How disgusting!
If that's not naturally selfish they learned it from somebody.

Well basically I say that people are not inately selfish if they believe themselves part of a community (group of people with similar cause). It's obvious that people are not inately selfish, for the very simple fact that people do commit acts of heroism. However, if people feel that they are alienated from a group or do not connect themselves to someone else, they, I think, have no reason not to be selfish. Selfishness depends entirely on the situation.
