Choices...Hmmm yes today's world loves it's choices and choice is what I believe defines us as humans because our choices define our actions but more importantly our will...so...

All these choices...all these options...translated by action are a result of our will. They give us a chance to define our individuality and manifest it into human terms of who we are and how we fit into the miriad of life as an individual human being.

I think your flamboiance has got the better of you here Morgan. You're drunk on choice so to speak...deep down you know whether you're a lover/fighter idealist/realist because you are who you are...and there is a part of all of us we just can never lie to...

What becomes of an entity who becomes overwhelmed by the sheer choice of it's choices...?

Is boredom a laque of choice or a product of to much choice...?

If you know who you are and what you want...do you really have a choice...?

I think not...

Durrie you have a way with using very long envolved words when only one sentence is needed.

Ofcourse I know who I am. I never said I didn't. I only said that those stupid online personality tests are always wrong becauces they don't considder all the options which people tend to be. A person is far more complicated than only one thing or the other. We aren't just black and white.

Yes I agree Morgan...we are complex creatures but my point is that I believe we make things more complicated for ourselves by wanting more choices all the time instead of choosing from what we are given.

Progress can only be made by knowing your course so to think you're going somewhere by wanting to be on both ends of the scale at once is rediculous.

Can you really be an idealistic realist...? What are you then but sitting on the fence...? You're neither an idealist nor a realist so personally I don't believe you can be.

Look there's nothing wrong with hypothesising or extrapolating a choice because that grows our minds and understanding but at the end of the day the question is down right simple...you're either or...make a choice...we're always wanting choices ontop of the choices and then the entire situation becomes too cluttered to deciede and we get nowhere...

The problem with all labels is that any given person is so much more than the narrow band of definition they offer. Most people display characteristics of all oppositional classifications.

For example, I'm idealistic about my ambitions, however, I'm realistic about my capabilities (i can be an olympic gymnast I can!).

Lover? Fighter? Maybe Morgan just likes rough sex. 🤢gt;

You say labels are choice, I see them as restrictions.

Cortica, I agree completely. In some respects we are one thing, in others we are something else. If we are constantly characterizing ourselves as either one thing or the other, we are cutting ourselves off from what we truly are. We are losing touch with our true selves. It's these types of generalized chatagories which people get stuck in and make them unable to realize all the possible directions which they're life can take!!! Certainly Durrie, you can tie yourself down to fit yourself into what everyone else says you are, but personally I'd rather create myself from what I truly am, and not what others say I must be. Society gives us limmited words, but our spirits give us thousands more. To say that we must accept what we are given and never question that maybe there is more to life is just terrrible. Why cut yourself from possiblity?

There is a place between wake and sleep when thoughts float through your head, not quite dreams and not quite coherent logic. This place is core to anticipation, reflections of your inner self and the world you paint around you. There are many different philosophies to how life should be perceived. I believe it should be lived.

The average eighty years or so that a person is granted seems like an extraordinarily short time. However, it is just long enough for a person to live forever. Life is eternal; one?s memory lives on in the account of one?s deeds. In the end, it doesn?t matter how much time a person is allotted, what is important is what they do with whatever time they have. The goal is to strive to see the world from a new perspective, and keep on pushing the boundary of perspective forever outward, so that everyone is granted the realization that there will always be endless possibilities. The goal is not simply to eat and breath, but to act so that you expand the world around you, to live so that each tomorrow finds you further than today.

Things happen that can divert a person from their goals. Nobody can help being swept up in their every day routine, the little obligatory details which distract them from the big picture. It?s a routine, a rut of life they fall into. It?s far easier to do the things that are familiar than to push the boundaries into the unknown. Some people become obsessed with answering questions. It?s easier to spend one?s life trying to answer someone else?s questions than it is to ask new ones. But often it is the simple act of asking a new question that is more important to what the answers of ten old questions are. It shows a new perspective, a new possibility. It teaches people to expand their minds and not only expect the unexpected, but embrace it, because life is far greater than what can be predicted.

Life should not be a task; it should be a passion. Stand up and let yourself be heard. Why do people have voices, if not to speak? A person shouldn?t wake up each morning dreading all the menial tasks which are required of them. They should get up eager to do and see and learn and express and teach the aspects of life which have become their ardor, keeping in mind that no matter who they are or what they are doing, they are contributing to a whole. A person has a responsibility to give back to the whole from which they drew their knowledge and their inspiration so that every old dream will always be the foundation for an infinite amount of knew ones.

About being a realistic idealist, I'm simply realistic about somethings where others I'm very idealistic about it depends completely upon the topic. I'm sure you can ask anyone I know and they will varify that I am everywhere but sitting on a fence.

When it comes to the lover fighter choice, I simply do love to fight. I am one of those people who tend to thrive off conflict, but this does not take away from my love life at all. I do love a lot of people, and I would give my right arm for them.

these really are stupid test questions. But just for fun I'll slap some constricting labels on myself and play along (lol).

question:
would you characterize yourself as
a)realistic
b)imaginative

Simple Answer: Realistic.
More Accurate Answer: I am realistic about most things and practical matters like finances and my career abilities/options, but imaginative when I have to be in order to bail myself out of some crappy situation. Also, I am not very realistic when I am in love, in that hazy daze I am much more imaginative than realistic.

Question:
Would you say you are more of a(n)
A) lover
B) fighter
C) I just sleep

Simple Answer: Lover.
More Accurate Answer: I can fight my lover (almost) to the death if I am passionate enough about disagreeing with him. I do not like or seek out conflict, but if I am pushed to my limit (which is rare), I am scary. I do not back down.

Anybody have an opinion on which university they think is better? New York University or Boston University? I've been accepted into both, and now I have to decided on which to attend.

I personally like NYU better. They seem more serious and busi

(This idea was sort of inspired by Crime and Punishment, which after reading I have decided a new criteria for deciding what is great literature: does it make you have discussions about killing people if you could?)

If you could kill someone (and

People are illogical, unreasonable and self-centered.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
