Alright, whose done it? Repent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in this post. i saw a woman last week walk out of a store through the garden department with a full shopping card of kitchenware items, probably 200 to 300 dollars worth. You know what I did? Watch her load it in her car and drive off. of course she was watching me at the same time. The garden department was closed at the time and she some how forced one of the doors open.

Go to store:

1) Purchase item, get receipt.

2) Get back in store, take another one of that item and return it with receipt from step 1.

Makes you feel sleazy, but pfffft....

I've done that. I used to be a bad kid. A buddy of mine used to go into a store and steal all kinds of shit, then I'd go return it. 15-20 years ago they didn't care so much about receipts and we'd frequently get cash for our returns. Occasionally, for large items, they'd mail me a check. Mom never asked why I randomly got $ 200 checks from Home Depot or Sears.

The closest I ever came to getting caught was returning an automated garage door opener to Home Depot. He had just brought it out and when I walked back in the alarm sounded. The guy seen me walk in though and I made a face like "what's this crap beeping for?", he said the door scanners are a little weird sometimes and not to worry. And yes, he mailed me a check haha.

My brother got caught stealing candy from the gas station and they called the cops and everything. Gotta love that libra mercury, I can talk my way out of most anything.

Question!

Similar to the receipt thing KVZZMIR11 said...

I got some extra controllers for the PS3s we have. Two of them have lost partial functionality. One of them the left joystick sticks and doesn't respond to being pushed in. So in fps games I can move, but not run. The other one is similar issues with the joysticks.

Anyway, these controllers are $ 55 each and they ain't that old. There's no reason they shouldn't be working. I've been thinking about going and buying new controllers, taking them home, putting the broken ones back in the package, and returning them. I keep the new controllers and get my money back...that's a win-win!

I haven't done it because it feels wrong. But not also feels wrong to drop $ 110+ for things that shouldn't be broke.

Opinions?

Aren't you guys scared of going to prisons? Lol.

Statute of limitations on petty theft has to be less than 15+ years. I don't do it anymore. Plus, like I said, I was a BAD kid. Shoplifting was the least of my worries. That's misdemeanor stuff. I was worried about being charged with a felony. I get caught with some stolen clothes, or get caught with weapons and a pound of weed? Shoplifting wasn't my fear. I was a kid, I'd have gotten a slap on the wrist.

Also, not encouraging it, just saying...the rush from getting away with something is addicting. Learning to control your body and mind so you don't look like a twitchy nervous thief. Walking up to the return counter with stolen product and no receipt...I got real nervous. It isn't a good way to learn the skill, but I can very much control my emotions and expressions. Adrenaline is a hell of a thing.
