Perhaps others can relate to the sudden bout of loneliness that sometimes looms late at night or at inconvenient hours when those who enjoy a "normal" and "fulfilled" life are at peace with their lives as they go through the expected rituals of being with family, hanging with friends, or engaging in other socially acceptable past times. But what of those who happen to be out of sync for that moment in time? We are often stranded in no man's land left to brood and lament the sad, mad world.
What I've created here is a thread where anyone, at any time, may throw up an SOS saying "I need someone to chat with!" Anyone is free to respond to the SOS via private message. Who knows? Maybe each will learn something new from the experience. Perhaps both involved will share a moment of closeness, the kind of bonding that can only be found in mutual solitude. Or maybe one will have an utterly creepy encounter. Or it could be completely fruitless and uneventful. Regardless, desperate times call for desperate measures. There's no shame in feeling alone. And there is nothing to lose and everything to gain from seeking company.
Set those egos aside and say: "I need to chat. The "0 Messages" button serves to magnify my need for human interaction. Message me, maybe?" Sometimes small talk can make a whole world of a difference. No need for formalities. Jump right into a PM conversation with someone and share your company. ^.^
^Oh that 1 message stuff for me too. No matter how many times I try to open it. But prior to that message..everything else vanished. After that message, it works to send and receive.
message - works message -works message - works 1 unread message . . .
There should be past messages in descending order in place of those dots. Yet that "1 unread message" is the border between nothingness and everything.
I didn't have that. I just had a message come in one day during a convo that couldn't be opened. It just sits there, waiting to load. It never does. So I delete it and it says it's deleted/or refreshes like it deleted, but it's still there.
