This is something I've been pondering for a few years. I've got a basic "leather" wallet. Think they're called bifolds? Just the basic split open, card holders/identifier, billfold.

I've been thinking a lot about a vachetta leather one or whatever it is. Where it gets a real nice patina over time.

Bi folds are horizontal wallets trifolds are vertical wallets where the cards are inserted vertically.

yeah I've kinda wanted to see if I could find a good bifold with a keyholder or a few where it would be compact still. Idk. I KINDA like the RIDGE wallets

Yeah I’ve seen a couple of those on Amazon I had a nice brown leather one until it ripped

Currently using a blue wallet from Amazon it’s cool but the zipper sometimes cuts the money when I take it out but other than that it’s a cool wallet a lot of card slots 2 bill compartments even has a card slot on the back that I use for MTA cards or Hotel cards

I like the wallets that are mainly for cards, but have a band for cash. Personally I keep my cash in a safe because I don't trust banks, not keep money in the bank just because it's way easier to use a card then to shuffle paper all day. I'm also OCD and would spend too much time organizing bills. A card is so much easier. It also has a trigger at the bottom to bring all your cards out, so I feel like I might get shot every time I bring it out. My friend has one similar that's absolutely crazy. His can locate your keys or phone though wifi.
