What do you think?

I'm curious what you all think about tattoos. Many, many of my friends, male and female have them. I have to admit, when done well, they're really cool to look at. (When they're bad though, I feel really bad for the person that they have to live with it!) I never thought I would seriously want a tattoo, but I have to admit I've been pondering it lately. I *was* thinking of getting a Phoenix tat, but now that's going to be silly if I do since my friend (the musician) just got one - how interesting is that, that we both wanted the same tattoo and neither knew it?? Anyway, I don't want to "copy" him. So I can't get a Phoenix. Would a scorpion look too masculine? I'm thinking *if* I even get one, I want colors, something with the moon, like a crescent moon, and something having to do with the Zodiac.

I hope I haven't asked this question before...lol...if so, sorry. This is when a searchy tool thing would be awesome.

I am not saying anything....but you really like that?? marking your body with something you dont really know about...??
shapes/pictures/things..in general...they all have meanings it might sounds cool and looks even cooler....but deep inside,...they all have meanings, and those meanings it might not "good" as we think they are...

My thought about those "things" is not religious...dont get me wrong....but those stuff is not natural either or all of us will be marked or pierced at born..!! Im not rejecting the idea ....just wanted to say something about it cause I also noticed lots of people these days have some kind of marking or piercing something.. to be honest...its not disturbing me..
1000 years ago people had a same vision against or about make ups and stuff..today is normal thing and very few humans can leave without it.
I was just wonder why marking the body (specialy) those places that usualy is hidden under cover..?? whats good in it..?? and if its good then why hide it..??
Other problem is...the meaning of those signs...this is the one I really care about...

I mean...simple thing it get tattoed you name or your loved one on your body...thats ok
But when you start to invastigate (by kabalarian) then you may find out that the name has a negative effect on you...so you start to ask for wiping out the damn thing....but we know that kabalarian is an ancient knowledge and we "know that for fact" not neccesery to "believe" in it..but those images and anagrams or whatever it is..?? do we know what they means..?? whats their effects or to be honest "they power" to the wearer..??

I don't know, I'm way too unsure about this to actually do it anytime soon, but it's good to get others' opinions.

Q-Bone, I'm not sure I'm clear on what you're saying about not realizing the meaning behind the tatoos - I definitely wouldn't get a tattoo of something that held no meaning for me, and I'd know what it meant, for sure, before the fact. I can see your point about it not being natural, but yes, like you said, neither is makeup, neither are clothes, when it comes down to it. Neither are shoes, neither are cars, neither are airplanes, and so on.

And if they ever get old and wrinkly, they can laser them off these days. 😛

I don't know, perhaps I favor an "unblemished" body, too.

(I think maybe I should be more sure of myself before I seriously think about this)

hm...hmmm.....you know....I dont want to get to the very detail of the things or will take 1000 years to explain it.🙂 but to be simple, shapes and things they gather some form of unknown (yes.. unknown) energies that surrounds us, some use those energies for healing, some use it for wichcrafts and so on, what i meant above about meaning of things its not a " meaning of the name" but the meaning of the "shape" what ever it is..the shape gather those "unknow energies" for good or for bad, i dont know, but what i know is that they does.
so becareful on your choice if you are going to get it..🙂
