What should I do about this Job Interview I had ?

I had an interview about 6 days ago at Damons as a bartender. The interview was about 15 minutes long and i felt like it went really really well. the day I came to interview which was last monday they had lost my job app and the manager had no idea i was even there for an interview and told me come back the next day. i think that it shows im really interested in the job otherwise i wouldn't have taken the time out of my day and put things on hold for a second interview when they messed up the first time. its now monday and i had my interview last tuesday. I didn't get a call back within the few days like she said, and im wondering if i should call back or not and see if they want me to work there or not ? if i call what should i say to them and do you think its a good idea. Im just scared if i wait they might not ever call me back and i have other jobs who could hire me and i dont want to waste time sitting around.

Call them. You can say, "I'm calling to check on the status of my application". It's perfectly acceptable. I once had an important interview and didn't hear from them for a week and a half. They had wanted to hire me, but had simply been overwhelmed with work and didn't realize how much time had gone by.

...and ask for a manager. don't just ask the person on the phone who may or may not even take down your info.

Well the thing is i forgot the managers name :/ and i was thinking about saying "I'm calling to follow up on my interview and wondering if any decision has been made about filling the position" or do you think I should just stick with the "I'm calling to check on the status of my application" ?

Well my friend just told me about 5min ago she actually wanted to get take out there today so I will actually be going in the place today with her, do you think it would be a good idea to ask in person or just give a call ?

Go with elle and Blings advice Radar, a ring back and see if you've got the job. Person is good too. If they've not made up their mind, do it again next day or so. But keep on top of it if you want the position. 🙂

Thanks everyone ! I actually went in when I and asked to speak to a manager but she wasn't in cause she was sick so I'm going to call in a couple of days
