Why Would A Woman Lie About Rape?

This question is frequently asked by people who want to inflate rape statistics. Here are some of the answers:

? Revenge and rage. A woman feels "used" by a man after having had sex with him, or a boyfriend dumps her.

? Alibi. She comes from a puritanical background and other people found out she had sex so she claimed "rape" to disclaim responsibility. Or she can claim she was innocent when engaging in adultery. Or she may have gotten pregnant and wants to justify an abortion in an anti-choice community.

? Money. Charging celebrities with rape or other crimes can lead to out of court settlements in which the accuser receives considerable sums of money.

? Attention-seeking and self-delusion. This is common in people with Borderline Personality Disorder and closely related to hypochondriasis and/or Munchausen's syndrome.

? Divorce or child custody fight. Accusing a husband (or other partner) of rape or domestic violence serves as additional ammunition in dissolving a marriage or gaining custody of children.

? Pseudo-science. "Recovered Memory Therapy" and other fads encourage mass hysteria in which false accusations are routine.

? Racism. During the segregation era, white women would frequently victimize black men by claiming they were the subjects of their sexual advances. The Scottsboro Boys is one famous case in which women, in conjunction with racists, used false charges of rape to attempt to legally lynch nine men.

? Force competition among men. By claiming to be victims, women get men to compete and fight among each other. Patriarch cal men, who gain their power by victimizing other men, use the excuse of "protecting women from rape" to attack other men. In other words, women who claim to be victims and rely upon the power structure to "protect" them are falling for the oldest sexist game in the book. I do have to agree that too many women have wrongly accused poor guys of rape and not only was it for the reasons you listed above, I also find it is for they are just psychotic. I have a EX friend, whom I havnt spoken to in about 3 years, that she had falsly accused,,and even created false rape reports to the authoritys, one of her reasons of the act is listed in your post,,but then she went on to make more accusations later on on the years. well outcome is- she is psychoitic. and had to be put in the mental hositals. Thats not only reason I stopped talking to her- she also stealed of my children, grounds for ending any friendship in my book. Ok I m ay have went on and on,,,havent had my morning coffee yet,,lol

Two of those things are true in some cases one guy the girl willingly had sex with and it wasn't until two weeks after trying to get him back that she went for the rape thing.Then another one girl is my cousin and don't even know the guy but she accused him of rape just because he didn't want anything to do with her afterwards and it was a social reputation thing for her reasoning.She did him as a flinge but someone found out about it so it was then rape all of a sudden.Some women are lying,why not a lawyer actually took on the mcdonalds made me fat claim.Theres people who actually debate whether movies,music,and video games are the root of violence.The world lets the point the finger at someone else happen regulary why wouldn't some supposed rape victems do it too.

Lets just say I laughed my butt off when the sniper shooter turned out to be a military or acadamy flunky or psycho who didn't have the on/off switch in his head and not a 16 year old who has a thing for video games.
