I wanna read the book because my aunt says it goes into so much more detail...which I think the movie lacked a bit.
I know this sounds sick, but I wanted to know more about Astrids affair with her foster dad. It was kind of erotic and a little romantic. I felt sorry for him almost.
I never disliked her character, tbh. I agree, most of what she said had truth to it. I liked her despite her umm..unconventional parenting. I actually started to feel a little resentment towards Astrid for treating her that way towards the end, although I understood her pov as well.
I love stories like that. Where you struggle with who to like and for what reasons...the answer isn't given to you right away, ya kno?
Yes! on Robins performance, as well. They did an excellent job casting. I also enjoyed Renee Zellwegger's performance. She did such a good job conveying that vulnerability..even with just her body language. Loved the part when she mentioned her being a Pisces, and Astrid being a Scorpio too 😛
LOL! I love when Ingrid SO wants to give Claire shit for being into astrology.
Yeah, I'm thinking Rene MUST have studied up on Pisces women for this role because she SO had it down! All the astrology stuff is in the book, too. I think Ingrid is an Aquarian, which makes sense when coupled with her rather off-center perspective, as well as her detachment.
lol Hey Prince P! How are you? Still on the west coast?
Yeah, she was definitely playing the stereotypical wounded fish. The thing is, I have known several pisces women just like that. In fact, one also took her own life. Unfortunately, some people get lost and just can't find their way back. 😢
