Debunking for the myth about Pisces

Absolutely not. There is no evidence to suggest that people born under this sign have a higher than normal tendency to indulge in mind altering substances. There is though, every suggestion that Pisceans are acutely intelligent people with an amazing ability to solve complex problems. Pisceans, generally, have excellent concentration and impressive powers of deduction. The misapprehension comes about because most people born under this sign are blessed with open minds. They will listen to most arguments, consider most possibilities and explore most suggestions. They are imaginative too and this quality always irritates the people who do not possess the ability to conjure up creative ideas.

I have noticed that pisces think out of the box on most things. Their logic is not as straight as some of the other signs. Yet it is logic none the less.

They will listen to most arguments, consider most possibilities and explore most suggestions.

This one is very accurate. I did notice that I think about far more possibilities and on much "higher" standart than the rest of people do.

Glad you?re perceptive enough to appreciate that it is logic, unlike some of your signs counterparts. Pisces' are well aware of their weaknesses and vulnerabilities so we plot and scheme to shield ourselves from the outer harshness heaped upon us by the world. We tend to scan the room if you will. If we are in a foreign or strange place, we seek out the safest person in the room to be with and go to work. When we done - we move on. This is why people think of us as "users and abusers" along with the host of many acts of attrition we're accused of committing. It's a coping mechanism which works for a while, but certainly not over the long run. We're too self-contained to be any other way. Don't know what the other members on this board feel but that's the best way I know how to explain the "illogical" logic of our thinking and being.

I recently realised, upon more than a 4 real life occassions over a span of 3 years.
pisceans are actually usually heavily independant and opinoinated, since being so withdrawn they can more than most be self reliant in desperate situations , If a plane crashed a pisces a leo were the only survivors, after a couple days the leo would go crazy and be confused agitated and need the energy of others to survive so to speak, while the piscean would have already adapted overcome and been at peace with the temporary surroundings.

And the reason pisceans coem off as so agreeable and easily led,
Open minds, and than when there alone they get to laugh at the arrogant veiws that will get those people nowhere.

pisceans motto could easily be
Let It Be.

I can't speak for all Pisces but I do find I manage better in a crisis than most. It is so interesting you picked a life or death scenario. I've come close to drowning 3 different times in my life. The worst was when I got caught in a wicked undertow at the beach when I was 12. I felt like I was in the inside of a washing machine and couldn't tell up from down. My Dad always taught me not to panic, but to relax and trust my instincts. In the midst of all that chaos I heard voice say "relax"; so I did. Next thing I knew I popped up out of the water like a jack-in-the-box. I fouind myself a half a mile from shore and took mine time swimming in. Our philosophy is a bit like the Rudyard Kipling poem "IF" -

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,

- i agree with this statement. The mental abilities of many Pisces (that i came across) are underestimated by those around them, it might be due to their calm demeanor...I like to talk to many people and get their opinions and outlooks on just about any topic that seems of interest.....I think most Pisces are happy to share, assuming its with someone with an open mind, which i think i am....they seem to really enjoy throwing thoughts around no matter how outrageous or bizarre they may be....I think they are the most intelligent of the water signs...no offense to Scorps and Cancers...
