I have to ask if you Piscean people are like me.......do you have to live in a city that fits who you are—?
I notice this about myself, I have to absolutely have surroundings that live and breath who I am .....i.e. I have to have organic type markets, holistic, earthy, artsy, diversity of people, art, and music and culture available in my living surroundings.
I moved to north Denver last year ....not sitting well with me whatsoever. I feel like I am living in big box central with every store on the corner being a chain ....no quaint coffe houses for lounging and hanging with your friends. Now downtown Denver .....different story. I work right in downtown and totally dig that. I loved living close to Boulder CO for that exact reason.
I have an opportunity to move to Seattle ......and this TOTALLY fits who I am. I am a Seattle person. I know for a fact I could never ever live in some poe cow town that is very southern conservative type influence. They have Trader Joe's every where on the west coast....fresh sea food, pho noodle kitches, and pikes market with fresh products......ooooo and the coffee. 🙂
I have learned this about myself......very recently that where I live is very important and condusive to my happiness.
PP - Did not realize you lived in Seattle. I have been there years ago, and absolutely loved it there. I think Seattle would be a good fit for me. Lovvvvve Trader Joe's!!! 🙂 I know crazy to be gah gah for a grocery store but it is the coolest place. Here in Colorado we have Wholefoods a.k.a. Whole Paycheck (that is what we call it) and Vitamin Cottage which is probably my favorite supplement store. Vitamin Cottage sells a small selection of organic food but nothing near what Trader Joe's does has and it is reasonable for varying type of consumers. They don't rape you at the register.
Cost of living is not much more than Denver either. Don't get me wrong I do love Colorado and all it has to offer. I really feel like a change of scenary will do me good. I look forward to being closer to a coast line and near all that water.
"Yes absouletly like electro aqua said different cities have different energies or vibes asome will mesh with your personality and some won,t ."
I do AGREEE 100% ! I swear if I was living in some place like Mobil Alabama, I just might have to slit my wrist. 😢 Southern Conservatives scare me. I have to wonder if the KKK still lives and breaths down there.
SS - NYC would be my next choice to live however I just cannot imagine paying $ 36K - $ 48K a year for a "decent" 500 sq ft place to live. I think I would love the east coast too, but the cost of living would be a hard one for me to swallow. 😢
"I hear it's easier to live in the South. Not so much fakeness. If ppl don't like you (for whatever reason or nonreason), they will tell you."
SS - You bring up a good point. The best way I can describe how I would feel in a southern city is confined and I would stick out like a sore thumb. There are two things I would NEVER discuss in the south ....Politics and Religion. It is bound to get me harrassed or killed.
WOw interesting! I just started dating this pisces guy and he told me that he really likes it here in my town. He just moved here about 1 and 1/2 ago and he said he really likes the VIBE here. His friends asked him if he would move back to his hometown and he said no. At first I thought he was giving me a hint that he really likes me, but I guess it's just part of his nature to express his feelings about the city he lives in.
Capris interesting observation. Seriously my surrounding mean everything to me and my happiness. I swear if I went back to the town I grew up in, I just might die emotionally.
