Hey all,

I have some questions about aspects and such. What does it mean when you have no planets in a house? My seventh is empty. :o

Also, I've discovered that my partner (scorpio) has Pisces rising, and I, of course, am a Pisces with Scorp rising. I've read somewhere that this can draw two people to each other, but not much about anything beyond that. Our moon signs (mine in Aqua, his in Aries) seem to complement each other.

We both have several hard Venus aspects. Mine is Venus (in the fifth) opposition Saturn (in the 8th). He has Venus in the 8th squaring Mars in the 5th.

I think we both may be at the point where we've been able to harness the negative energies of those aspects, and cultivate the positive. But my Saturn where it is always makes me feel like I'll repeat the same horrid lessons, whether I realize I've chosen them or not. I especially feel like this when things are going good. Like now. 🙂

Thanks in advance for input.

SS this is sooo me. Saturn is trying to tell me something that's for sure, the only trouble is I realise only after it's too late and I'm already smitten!

I did some digging and found this:

Fear not -- a lack of planets in your House of Partnership does not mean that you will never find a husband or wife. Many beginners commonly assume that an untenanted house has no action in it. But let's look at it logically: We all have 12 houses, and only 10 planets. Even if all your planets were evenly distributed throughout your chart, they couldn't inhabit each and every house.

When a planet is in a house, the planet expresses itself in the corresponding area of the person's life that the house represents. For example, if your Sun is in the Third, you will need to write, teach, chat, barter -- anything having to do with the transfer of information and goods. Regardless of the style of your Sun's expression (its sign), you will not be satisfied unless you communicate.

If you have a planet in the Seventh, you will have to meet that planet's corresponding need in a relationship (romantic, business, open enemy, and so on). In other words, you are dependent on another to fulfill that planet's impulse. So, if you have no planets in the Seventh, it simply means that being in a partnership is not essential to the expression of your planets.

However, there is still much information to be gained from an empty house. You need to look at the planetary ruler of the sign on your Seventh House cusp. In what sign and house does this planet reside? What aspects does the Seventh House ruler make to other planets? What planets aspect your Ascendant/Descendant?

Hi SS, about empty houses; since there are only 10 planets, but 12 houses, everyone is going to have at least 2 empty houses in their natal chart. Empty houses do have their own importance through the meaning of the "cusp" sign on the empty house. The condition, placement and aspects of the planet that rules the empty house should also be taken into account. Transiting planets to empty houses can be very important, as well, especially* the longer-lasting outer planets.

Also: "Lack of planets may indicate an area that does not require our attention until some point of life when some (transiting) planets visit it. Empty houses also relate to easy or latent karma, suggesting that the area of life represented is not a required subject in the present lifetime. Many empty houses in a birth chart indicates that the person needs to concentrate just on one or two specific areas in life." (so maybe a blessing in diguise?)

Empty 7th house - Partnerships and relationships are not vital but become important when treated with pride, loyalty and attachment when formed within group acitivities or long-lasting friendships.

Also, it never hurts to check out your other important relationship houses; especially the 5th! -of pleasure, love and romance & the 11th - other true friendships and relationships.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, T, Saturn can be rough. He likes to go over and over things until he's SURE you've got it.

Have either of you ever dated someone with Pisces rising? It's never worked with me and another Pisces sun, but his Scorpio sun seems to balance the two at well. Plus, we're both psychic as hell with each other. This can actually be unnerving. I'm not used to people being able to intuit what's going on with me as well as I can read them. 😛

lmao @ ginger nooooooooo!

I tend to like guys tall and dark - although it's not set in stone to be honest I've dated all sorts. The Taurus just there was 6, 1" and fair but the last one was only 5, 6" lol mind you he was fair too hmmm.

Does have to be crazy though I have to say, well interesting at least, I hate shallow people. Give me something to play with and some layers to attempt to unravel and I'm happy!

lol yep up until last year was with him for 3 years was good for a while but he had some serious issues and then some. Was a total control freak I wasn't allowed to do anything without it being a bone of contention!

I seem to go through phases, I'm in a Taurus phase right now that's my last 2 ex's before that it was an Aqua phase before that a Cancer phase and before that was my Sag of 6 years. Was infatuated with a Leo last year too I think that's it tho lol.

I have a really close bond with a Scorp friend of mine, started off as good friends dated for a bit he told me he loved me and I didn't feel the same. Few months later he took a job in San Francisco with his uncle - cue 3 years and he's now married and lives in California lol.

Speaking to him now on msn as it happens, still kick myself for not seeing things clearly back then, was a rough time for me though head was a mess and just didn't want to complicate things with him and lose our friendship.

Such is life I guess. Still, we're still close friends so it's not so bad.
