Why Are Pisces Genrally like that??

Let us debate it but one request to you all that nobody goes personal,

Give your opinions your experiences your views in general,

This will help us to understand this most misunderstood sign bit more

I know this has been debated here n there quiet often but let us give it a try again.

I)Why are they not a bit practical,it causes them and others a lot of problems in understanding them.
II) why do they escape conflict,it is necessary sometimes!!

III) why are they indecisive??

I very well know that if these things were not so nobody would be pisces,but cant they be a bit more on the positive side——

and yes what should others do to enhance their positive qualities—

In alot of cases it usually is necessary for kinda like a greater good type thing,very self sacrificing to make things peaceful and everybodys happy type thing:peacemaker and wanting a better understanding amongst others.Excepting them as is and understanding that thier always going to be wanting to figure things out pretty much is the best thing to do to get postitve reactions and keep those things up front.

Because practical is boring, and since we are all creative or artistic in some form, we tend to lean more toward the eccentric. Pisces do not follow the crowd, but we don't really care to be leaders either. We do what we want and if others want to come along for the ride, they are welcome.

Conflict upsets the peacemaker in us. We don't like those around us to be upset or unhappy, but what we find is that most people LIKE to spend their lives surrounded by drama and chaos. We do not. Drama and chaos distract us from our creativity.

HOWEVER, everyone has an end of their rope, Pisces included. If that is triggered, all of the anger and resentment we have pent up over the years so we won't "rock the boat" will come spewing out at one person. As Pisces get older, we start to stand up for ourselves more. At least I've found that to be true.

I don't know about this one, because I'm rarely indecisive. I know exactly what I want pretty much all of time, it's only the way I will go about getting it that may change. I think this "perception" of Pisces being indecisive stems directly from the "avoiding conflict" one. Sometimes, in order not to create conflict, we will agree with someone's advice, but then go do our own thing anyway. In tough conversations, we will do this too. If what we truly think or feel may hurt someone, we are less likely to say it, and just hope we can swim away later.

This is another type of behavior I think many Pisces grow out of as they get older. It just leaves a mess behind.

Oh yeah,I fogot to mention this the first time.They can be cofrontive it's just not in the idiot(im going to beat you)type confrontive,it's more in the mental challenge as in the type(usually in more nicer ways of saying it)to shush,open your eyes and look around and you might learn something type confrontive.Even here P-angel usually is the one to pop up and say hey theres more to people than astrology.Sea siren there usually always defends the stupidity factor that people associate with water and emotional people,theres a few others including haffo and bj on this board actually,as well,who have no problem with confrontation.I think even allen confronted a couple people as well,which is really weird for him,he's usually hey,look into this,complementing people or something really positive.

I think that we should speak of our own personal feelings relating to the questions in lieu of speaking for all Pisces as a whole so that we would get a better grasp of Piscean behavior.

I personally just believe that people lack trust and faith in me when I tell them for instance that I want a career in singing and they would push me to pursue a different career because it's not practical enough. But I'm not going to listen to them, my horoscope says that I'm going to be rich someday if I utilize my talents lol!

Personally when someone confronts me, I swim away like a fish. If they enter the room I'm in confronting me, I leave the room; and if they follow me around I'd be walking around trying to get away from them. I feel that confrontations are unnecessary, a total waste of time in which I'd rather spend sleeping. I also always know what I am being confronted about that's why I don't like to hear about it, I feel that they are just repeating things. If the person would only come up to me and say "Why did you do that?" in a calm manner, I would know what they mean and I would apologize, end of conversation. I don't want to hear about the subject again because if you think about it, what happened has passed, it can't be undone and unnecessary confrontations will not undo it, it will just escalate into a fight. ...I jus realized that confrontation itself is starting a fight *laughing*

III) why are they indecisive??

Personally, I am not really indecisive, I just pretend to be. For instance, if people ask me for my opinion, I know exactly what I want BUT I pretend that I don't because I don't want to hurt their feelings if I chose the option that is opposite of theirs. So I like to beat around the bush. I usually say "Hmmm well......I don't know" when in reality, I really do know but I just won't tell you. I then ask them, "what do YOU want?" and then they tell me what they want and I agree with them. I think it makes people happy, and that's what I want them to be.

I posted my reply after reading the topic starter's first post and after reading the rest of the posts I found that my answers totally matched Sea Siren's explanations.

How many artists have you read about that lived their life in such a manner? Creativity cannot flourish in a stifled world of structure. That is why you will find many (not all) Pisces who live their lives in such a way. Anyway, has there been some study done that proves people who live a more "efficient" life style are happier or better in some way? What works for one person will not work for another. An efficient, structured life style may provide comfort and stability for one, while it stifles and smothers another. Neither is wrong, just different.

Usually, and I'm speaking from experience here, Pisces seldom cause conflict on their own, but we are drawn into the conflict of others, our family or friends, etc. because we are good listeners and have an understanding nature. In my opinion, it is not my responsibility to solve someone else's problems for them, so yes, I will avoid confrontation on that level. It's, frankly, not my problem.

Because the few times we have told someone that we don't agree with their advice, they fly off the handle and get angry. Does this solve anything? No. I rarely ask advice from anyone. I solve things on my own. People often don't agree with my course of action, and that's fine. It's my life, not theirs. And I don't need to hear the irritating "I told you so"'s that inevitably come when you get advice and don't take it.

Bran...all of your posts essentially say you want Pisces to be a Virgo like you, and it just ain't gonna happen, my sweet. Every sign (yes, EVEN you Virgos) have their irritating little flaws. You must learn to accept people for what they are, or your life is going to be very rough in the relationship area.

Pisces do, indeed, avoid reality at times. Reality is harsh, and though we are strong, we are also often hurt and taken advantage of. I don't know many people who jump at the chance to experience pain, and that's all many pisces find in reality. We all (no matter what your astrological sign is)make our own reality, and we may not do so in the way you would, but again, that doesn't make it wrong. And saying Pisces are creative or artistic is just the truth. It's not a copout. I have never known one who is not creative in some way, and this creativity is what offers a release, sometimes we can even make our living at it.

As far as confrontation, first of all you have to understand that it takes ALOT to make us angry in the first place. Once we are there, though, BEWARE because it will be a volcano. Because we are not an "angry" sign by nature, we do not seek out confrontations, and frankly I don't know why anyone would want to be around someone who starts arguments and drama constantly. The bottom line is we want our lives to be peaceful and anyone/anything that threatens that we will most likely leave behind without a word. As I stated above, I was speaking from my own experience regarding other people starting drama. I avoid it and certainly never start things like that intentionally, and I have never known a pisces who does. I'm sure they're out there, but compared to other signs, I would guess those types of fish are in the minority.

Now cut out the fish bashing, or I'll spank your "logical" Virgo a $ $ . 😛 Perhaps that's all you need.... 🙂

Okay,I just thought this might help with some of this 18 of the 21 piscesians I know play both roles in holding down good jobs,careers,owning and running buisnesses but then when they go home they tend to grab a sketch pad,musical instrument or in the one girls case,designs her own clothes which still takes creativity and artistic abilities.It still is a mutable sign which means they do what they have to to survive and take care of thier kids.The ones I know have no problem understanding that they have to work.

Tiamet, you took the words right out of my mouth. lol I mean, I hold down a 9 to 5 job doing what I went to school for, but it is in no way creatively fulfilling. I save that for my painting and interior decorating. 🙂

I totally understand branh's post for they are fairly logical BUT we cannot change who we are, just like Virgos cannot change themselves to what other signs hope them to be. We just have to learn to accept each other.

Branh0913, this is not a Pisces related issue, this is experience and therefore maturity related problems. People beleifs become stronger when they are challanged. That is good thing when someone is trying to challange your beliefs and you try to defend them, because when such thing is happening you try to bring more evidence to it which makes you more confident in your opinions. Places like this forum are ultimate chance for us where people can share their ideas and seek challange for it.

The actuall problem of discussions in real life (out of this forums) arouse when people try to intimidate (shout etc) when their ideas are challenged. You see, many people are unaware about diplomatic discussions where shouting and intimidating are exluded. Therefore many people are immature when it comes to diplomatic discussions.

Making calm criticisation is something that even most of Virgo's needs to learn. Dealing with conversations is good ability, but showing people how to deal with conversations is much better one.

They are not practical, cause they don't know how to be!.. the pisces I was married to had no brains. They escape conflict cause most of the time they are 'guilty' and can't have that be known. They can't handle the pressure of 'big words'

I think of my style of living to be practical enough. In my working life I am some how practical enough to manage 11 staff members and export to 28 countries around the world. I have also found it very practical to make a lot of money selling my artwork which has helped me buy a very nice home. Sure I'm a dreamer but I find I've been very practical when chasing those dreams. Some people are a little unsure of the methods to my madness sometimes but I know where I'm going and how I want to get there. There's nothing wrong with taking the scenic route, we'll all get there in the end. difference is, some will be a little less stressed when they arrive.
So what's practical? - Something boring people try to be while everyone else is having fun.
Being practical doesn't mean you are going to be any more or less successful in life than the next person. Sometimes it pays to throw caution to the wind.

I've never escaped a necessary conflict in my life. Problems rarely solve themselves. Being walked over was something that happened to me a lot as a kid. As an adult I'll be damned if anyones gonna do the same.

This is something I have never been accused of.

Unfortunately, all I know is my sun sign of which I do carry a lot of traits but unless I'm living in denial I must have some very strong influences coming from elsewhere if this is the typical veiw of a pisces.
