No I didnt go. It was just too cold outside and it was at the Pentagon. But I went to Pentagon City to go shopping and there were soooooooo many people coming from the rally that you could barely fit on the trains. I had tons of people coming up to me, asking me how to get to certain places and which trains they should take. There were a lot of old people that went and they all had blankets and stuff.

I suppose it's an issue of taking the lesser of the two evils. People are tired of their relatives dying senselessly. They are tired of spending money on a war that will have the same outcome as Vietnam. The point of the war was to establish a democratic government in Iraq... and to a certain extent, we have done that. We can not continue to hold the hand of the country forever because they will never stand on their own two feet. Now I dont say leave all at once, but gradually, starting now, it should be done. We have our own problems here that we need to attend to and the growing distaste for the war only puts a key in the House members' backs. The protest lets them know just how much they are not in agreement with them. Not to mention, it is the people's right to protest if they feel the need.

Now for those persons who feel it's a waste of time, need not attend. No one asked you to attend if you don't believe in it. And it being a waste of time is simply a matter of opinion, which is fine, however, those persons who do protest share a different opinion, which is fine too. Now I'm not an active protester... I mean you wouldnt catch me being very radical or revolutionary... im no politician and politics make my head hurt so i usually watch from afar, which is where i like it, but to each their own.

As for your saying F you to peoples faces, no, that wouldnt work for a leader of the country. The approach has to be diplomatic or you really will have a war on your hands and it won't be with just one country. It's important that we all keep that in mind. To say F you is fine, but it has to be in a way that is not blatantly disrespectful because that's just giving a country a motive for attack. Now, if you're going to lead a one man army and single handedly stop all violence in the world and solve all our country's problems (ie. budgeting, education, homelessness, unemployment, disaster cleanups, taxes, gas gouging, global warming, etc.) then by all means you'd make a great leader using the F word and I'd vote for ya, but somehow it just doesnt seem realistic.

BUT THEN AGAIN, this is just my little ole opinion, and who am i but one single citizen out of millions?
