LOL The minute that self-sacraficing side of myself was put away in the interest of loving ME first (since putting others, especially men, before me never reaped any emotional enhancements only more self-doubt) the change was almost instant. I decided I no longer wanted to "live" in that dark place of doubt and wanted to bask in the light of my own glory. From that day to now I am not only happier and more fulfilled but the man in my life is acting, saying, doing better than I could have ever hoped. He's motivated to be a better version of himself for him and me because I'm not putting the fate of my happiness in his hands.
