So is said by someone in a Newsweek. This was sad for me. I love potery porobaly like my other Piscians do. I feel that's he's right is far as many and the mass of adults think. Know potery has no meaning to them for it's not thorown at them anymore. Are socitey doesn't rember such. Just those students who are taught it by teachers a week one week to learn to love. Few every could in a week. This is truly sad for thoses who wrote are more then it's supposed adimars. I feel that I as a poet maybe each poet will strive a little more to change to get themsleves out therir. To get their name know. To make are socitey rember such bueaty created out of 26 letters to let them view one moment of glory, pain, love, and bueaty. Poets do that. Writing and all of that such is reivied by J.K. Rowling. And God praise for without it writing would have almost died now it's a phoniez state. A famous writer said writers forgot to write to inform to proke thought to stir instead its enjoyment what I want to say and show. Doesn't move socitey like it can. Potery is nearly dead as the flame is blown almost out or is fading by time. Will we stop the dying flame? I belive we should for we can.

Lol, Jamesy, I thought you were talking about pottery for a while, and I didn't understand why pottery was dead!!!

Oh, No!!! Poetry isn't dead!!! It exists in the heart of all things!!! It's is the rhythm of life!!! It's saddly true people don't appreciate it as they should, but let me tell you, it is far from dead. There's quite a few crazy literary associations out there devoted to the preservation of it. You should do some research and maybe join into one of those literary circles if it interests you that much.

poetry isn't dead... there are as many poets now as before and they are just as good!... it just happens that there are more non-poets who don't appreciate poetry. Writers haven't forgotten to write to inform and poke holes in stereotypes and preconceived notions of things... read the sci-fi book Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury-fifty years old and still thought prooking about the nature of writing and books. Really you should read it-to make you curious I tell you that farenheit 451 is the temperature at which books burn. READ IT! then maybe you'll understand that there are ALWAYS people out there preserving our literary traditions and creating new ones and they are as important today as before. READ IT!

Oh come on now, there are lots of really good authers around. You just have to be a really frequent reader to find them. A lot of people don't apreciate the good literature, but you know, that's not just a trait of today, it was always that way. I like to think of it as if you're one of those unique literary folk who can really see the beauty of the written language, you really belong to a special elite group. And as part of that group it is partly your responcibility to make sure that the literary tradition never dies. You might want to think about that if you really truly are a part of that group...

Maybe you should right a book 😉. Or publish a book of poetry... Or subscribe to one of those writing jounels, and send in some of your righting... Send in your best potery... After you edit of course 😛. You know you should too, because the key is to get your name out there, once it is, then you'll have people contacting you over your writing. The literary world is actively looking for fresh blood, and it's keen to young talent.

I always hated those damn desks in school. Not all of ours were slanted though, a lot of them had that half-countertop thing going on, which was equally annoying because it gave you about three inches of actual workspace. I think that schools should have big tables for each person. I for one know that I need a lot of room to spread out my papers and books and such in order to really be productive.

But screw that since taxpayers never want to cough it up where it would count.

well, in my area it's more of a question of what the taxpayers vote for...more money given for textbooks or more money given for high school football? And it is the responsibility of taxpayers to question their local and state governments and find out where their money is going. Because all it takes is a little digging to find out that rather than your tax money going to educational resources for schools, it's going to the government officials so they can have "free" lunches and dinners and fancy cars and butter.

A deep rotted hate for englanders? the people who fought the war on both sides were englanders. It was a war between two differnt groups of britons. I have a friend who hates all blacks, his father is black, so I ask him do you hate yourself he said yes. I ask how can you hate a race of people because of one man he could not answer. his father abandon him and his mother and moved back to barbados.

Yeah, weren't we Americans actually British until we freaked out and threw the tea in the ocean or something? I think we were mainly against that King dude with all the damn taxes, not the actual English. Most of us Americans are quite enamored with you. I know I am. If we were going to be honest about it, we feel you are our big brother in a way. Most of us (certainly not all, but many) came from you over there. Why more Americans do not consider Britain their motherland I don't know. Personally I am completely fascinated by all things British. Ask anyone who knows me. Your history, everything. Quite interesting.

Oh wait, let me guess what powers the queen is and you can tell me how much I remembered correctly from my comparitive government class.

The queen affectively is a figurehead. Technically she swears in the prime minister. I can't remember what else whe does, but I'm prittier sure I remember something about her signing papers or something. Pretty much her role is completely just symblistic.

I actually think that the country I understand best from my comp gov class is france. I don't know why, and it scares me.

I think I'm going to adopt and english accent. When I was young and first learning how to spell, I always used to spell things the british way. Then I would argue with my mother that there were two correct ways to spell the words, and I wanted to spell them this way because it looked prettier. I was an odd child.
