Rising SIgn

How much do you think your rising sign affects who you are? The common description in astrology books is that your sun sign is how you see yourself, and your rising sign is how other people see you, but I think it goes deeper than that. My rising sign is Scorpio and I've noticed it makes me different from other Pisces. The Scorp in me loves to be social, but the Pisces side likes to be alone, so there is this constant sort of war. I'm also very secretive, and if someone wrongs me I have a burning need to seek revenge. Sometimes, the fishy side talks me out of it, but sometimes the Scorpio side wins. If I want someone or something, I pursue it obsessively until I get it, and then sometimes I find I don't even want it anymore. I've been told by people I've had relationships with that I'm mysterious, and they never know what I'm up to. The truth is, I'm not up to anything, but I want people to think I am. 🙂 Does anyone else experience these kinds of things with their rising sign? Do you think it affects your personality in a positive or negative way?

No, I haven't. I guess it's because I enjoy the chase, but the ones I catch can never understand me so I go after someone else who might. Crazy mixed up stuff, this is. 😉

I grew up in an half earth half air household and total imediate family so I will agree with you about that challenge about earth and water signs.But after I was about twelve the problems dissappeared completely when we started understanding each other more.And I messed up and gave that info already in the post about the desending sign on this board so my answers there.

And on the positive/negative I think it can go boths ways as far as pluses and negatives.

Wow, my rising sign is a great influence on who I am. But it is that way for everyone. The rising sign plays a part in balancing who you are (or trying to become), making decisions and behavior. My Capricorn rising helps me stay grounded and think, more so than to just feel with my Pisces sun. But then my Sag moon is the determinant for the presented options and makes it easier to choose the wiser outcome.

Cancerlady: After reading several of your responses it appears to me that you really know your stuff, therefore, this message is to request your help in giving me a clearer understanding of myself: sun: aquarius, moon: aries, ascendant: pisces, venus: aquarius and mars: taurus. I do appreciate this.

Help, I'm in a new relationship with a male Taurus which sexually is quite a passionate one, but, he seems to be a very busy Taurian and I don't get to see him as much as I would like, since I'm an Aquarian/pisces, the Aquarian side can deal with the separation and coming together times, but the pisces side wants more (time, attention, romance).
