Scared of intimacy?

Are Pisces men scared of intimacy? I met a guy a couple of months ago. He approached me and started a conversation. Things have been going really well and then he says he doesn't want to rush things which is fine but I feel like this pase is REALLY slow. We talk and text all the time but usually see each other 1-2 times a week. I know that we have a connection. I know that he can feel that because we've talked about it but I feel like that's when he starts to get stand off ish- when things are comfortable. He's told me he's not dating anyone else and that he's into me but I guess I'm used to more attention then he's willing to give. I'm also wondering am I expecting too much or is he just stringing me along? Weird one day randomly he asked me if he was "the one" for me. Ummm..... not sure yet.

He seems to feel like 6 months is the magic # to know if this is going to be a lasting relationship because he's been in 2 previous relationships that fall apart after the 5 month range that started out perfectly.

I'm all for being patient but at the same time sometimes he gives me the impression he's just not into me. I am still dating other people but I like this Pisces.

I'm a cancer female and I'm just used to guys knowing they like me. Seems like I'm having to prove myself or wait a certain amount of days with this one and it's not really appealing.
