The following excerpt is from —Towards a World War III Scenario: The Dangers of Nuclear War—, the latest title by best-selling author Michel Chossudovsky:

The US has embarked on a military adventure, —a long war??, which threatens the future of humanity. US-NATO weapons of mass destruction are portrayed as instruments of peace. Mini-nukes are said to be —harmless to the surrounding civilian population??. Pre-emptive nuclear war is portrayed as a —humanitarian undertaking??.

While one can conceptualize the loss of life and destruction resulting from present-day wars including Iraq and Afghanistan, it is impossible to fully comprehend the devastation which might result from a Third World War, using —new technologies?? and advanced weapons, until it occurs and becomes a reality. The international community has endorsed nuclear war in the name of world peace. —Making the world safer?? is the justification for launching a military operation which could potentially result in a nuclear holocaust.

Nuclear war has become a multi-billion dollar undertaking, which fills the pockets of US defense contractors. What is at stake is the outright —privatization of nuclear war??.

Follow the money, follow the tech. They created a need (terrorism, Al Qaeda, etc.) built an enormous industry to track them, when it turned out there weren't as many as they thought, they turned their snooping apparatus against the WORLD. Well, they had to do SOMETHING with their new toys, right? Along with all this, the NSA, CIA and military industrial complex trumps and transcends Presidents and grows with geometric force every year without abatement. The monster eats the sustenance of the country, saps all the wealth of the country into their own pockets. Their industry visits radioactive fuel waste and toxicity for hundreds of miles around in the quest for "better and better" weapons of WMD. See, WMD is ok if the United States is wielding and using it. And, they're cowards. They always ensure their toys' use only on third-world people of color that have no defense. And now? They commit these atrocities from afar, with drones, drones they're only now beginning to use against us in their desperation to spy on and control OUR population.

Washington DC and it's environs grow ever-richer as the rest of the country becomes ever-poorer, but always, under greater surveillance and control. It's good business, the Federal Contractor role and that's what drives all this. In weapons, in snooping, "intelligence" and the enormous damage and destruction and death visited upon any country the business of death and destruction and weapons delivery feels could use a little taste of our wrath. If there's no particular reason, they invent one. To the contractors and manufacturers of weapons of death, it's only toys and video games these days. And it isn't even delivered by the military, it's civilians doing the deliveries of destruction and completely outside the control of the President and Congress. The budgets are black and deeply secreted in subcommittees that divulge nothing in FOIA requests. Get too curious down there, poke around a little too much, with any persistence, you disappear. Happens every day. Our media is completely cowed and destroyed. They investigate nothing.

Presidents? The last two guys that said no to a bullshit war, Vietnam, and said no to the CIA and all this stuff that was only on the horizon in their day, were Jack and Bob Kennedy. Look what it got them. To this day, every new President is driven through Arlington Cemetery, where their "tour director" shows them the spot next to Bob Kennedy or maybe Jack that will be their own if said new

Look what it got them. To this day, every new President is driven through Arlington Cemetery, where their "tour director" shows them the spot next to Bob Kennedy or maybe Jack that will be their own if said new President interferes with the growth of their game. Obama was the latest. He was going to clean all this up. What happened? Everything tripled down, it got worse and worse and Obama doesn't raise a peep against it, nor does any Congressman or Senator. They don't dare.

God help the generations following the Baby Boomers. THIS is the world they left behind for you.

Thank you for your post/input it was surprisingly informative.

Thank you again. My hat's off to you sir/madam.

I would be a sir, actually. I grew up in Washington DC, I'm transplanted to Boston these days. And, I spent 6 years in an A-6 Intruder attack jet squadron aboard Nimitz. After I went home in 1981, I noticed the monster beginning to really grow with the advent of cheap computing power. And of course, after 9/11, the region grew so fast and so many companies transplanted to Northern Virginia that the quality of life deteriorated to the point I couldn't live there anymore. Being a tech/telecom guy, my skills transfer. But the tripling of population from Baltimore, Md. to Richmond, Virginia made traffic, housing, really every aspect of life, untenable. It's the richest region in the country now but it couldn't be more miserable. It ain't old Virginee anymore. I just got to where I didn't want to help the effort anymore.

I HATE the way it's gone the past 50 years. LBJ kicked it off, gave these bastards permission. I honestly believe however, that around the end of Reagan's final term, the die was cast, America became a giant surveillance farm. It all got put into it's final, unending state while Reagan was asleep at the switch by Casey (CIA) and Rumsfeld. Finance, banking, purchasing, every dime you earn they know it--all of it. And only those on the inside get the favors to escape it all.

But it all really began when they put Jack Kennedy into his box. That was a coup, plain and simple. We let them get away with it. And, we haven't been the same since. Since then, it's been one bullshit war after another, one intel failure after another and with all this apparatus in place to "protect" us, they let 20 guys board four airplanes and wreck everything. And THAT wreckage really got started with all that's been put in place since to stop THAT one thing, hijacking. And now they turn it all against us with impunity. And with all this, two dopey kids that CIA KNEW were in Boston, that KNEW they were pissed off Islamics from the lower reaches of the old Soviet Union, that the FBI KNEW were playing with explosives, that Soviet Intelligence notified the FBI about, STILL blew up the Boston Marathon last May. Then, it took 40,000 law enforcement officer a week to catch them.

The spying, the intel, the control they've grabbed for themselves for their own sick, spying purposes and their contractor-friends' enrichment at the cost of the little peoples' freedoms wasn't to protect US, it was to protect their little game and of course, it's all classified, so we still don't know the depths of it all yet. And we're damned likely to be told how deep by THIS President a press. Snowden told us some but it grows by the day, this reach of theirs. They couldn't catch a cold, let alone a bomber or mass-shooter. But they sure can track your cell phone calls and whereabouts to the fraction of an inch. Don't you feel safer now?
